As someone who’s used stencils in her craft work before, my first thought was of how expensive a multi-layered, large stencil like that must be! Very nice to do for his daughter. That’s the kind of thing dads do - well, good dads, anyway. Yes, the dress colors are a little off and we won’t mention the skin tones but it’s still a great job. I’d also like to mention what progress it is that a white, middle class American man is absolutely fine with having several young women of color hang about his daughter’s bed and doesn’t give it a second thought. I’m plenty old enough to remember when that wouldn’t have been the case and I’m only talking about a few decade ago, not 75 years or something. As a Black person, that’s more important to me than the fact that he didn’t get Tiana, Pocahontas and Moana exactly right.

I'm not sure how he does this, but if you have a Cricut or a larger bed cutter device, it's a matter of breaking the image down in a vector drawing tool like InkScape and having the cutter do the stencils. You can even add the alignment markers and preview the stencils 'stacked' to make sure each layer/stencil covers the ones below it correctly. Otherwise, it's just the cost of buying 22"x48" pieces of plastic foil and time. Amazon US has VViViD Matte Transparent Masking Stencil Vinyl 12" Roll (12" x 20ft) for US$12 a roll.

@@VI.N2008 overspray because they had to get close to the edge. Spray paint is tough because if you get too close to the surface, it can pool and drip. It would be very simple to use a little bit of the wall paint to cover the extra bit of black that went outside the stencil. I’m much more concerned about them not moving the bed first or at least covering it with a tarp. Aerosolized paint particles tend to fall downward somewhat lol.

The edges are an easy fix. If you look closely, they had a pillow with a plain pillow case on it propping up the pretty princess pillow in the front so that the princess pillow would show in the video but not get messed up. Also, pretty sure if these people have the time and money to put into this they don't mind throwing some sheets away and buying some new ones after they're done. Especially if they're getting paid from this video.
