The purpose behind this song/lyrics/and the performance - BTS was attacked and judged by Koreans claiming that BTS has lost their roots and went onto accommodate the west. So to prove them wrong and still staying true to their artistic passion, BTS wears Korean traditional costumes, dancing traditional Korean dances, and the lyrics basically is self explanatory. I am who I am, I do what I want, mind your own business, you can't stop me from loving myself. It's fantastic and kickass to the moon, especially to the haters 💜

I LOVE how they respond to haters. It is used as fuel ⛽️ for the passion they have for they do, who they are, & for Army. Just when you think & feel like you can't possibly feel any deeper than you do for these 7 incredible human beings. It hits you in the most extraordinary way & you just do. Loving every moment. 🫠🥰💜🤘

Infinitely so. This IS one of my absolute favorite BTS performances ever!!!! I never get tired or bored watching it. It is an exciting experience every single time I watch it, no matter how many times I have seen it. 😮🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Love it beyond description. 💜🤘

This was for all those accusing them of abandoning their "Korean-ness" because they were global superstars. The song. The performance. The whole thing was in your face. "I know who I am, I know what I want, I'm never gonna change, I'm never gonna trade... you can't stop me loving myself". Its so passive aggressive, I love it!

I love this performance. The way they incorporated traditional instruments and costumes made the song a lot more special. BTS have always stayed true to their roots, and have managed to spread their culture and make millions of international fans interested in their country. Of course Jimin is just ethereal what can I say. I could watch him dance all day 💜

This is such an awesome performance! Love it every time! I also wanted to mention that, in addition to vocals, lyrics, and hard choreography, k-pop idols keep changing their positions on the stage - moving forwards, backwards, sideways...it's so much to remember! 🕺 💜🕺

Jhope, Jimin won some award for this fan dance. This whole show was AMAZING, YOU must see the whole show, they bring horses out aerialist and the end is fabulous. Also Nesto check out BTS "Let Go" stage mix, you will love the song and coreo. I purple you, Nesto.

I wish they did this performance at AMA or BBA to give US a taste of the real excitement of BTS performance in stage. What they did was Fake Love and Boy with Love at BBMA; DNA, Butter and My Universe AMA; Dynamite and Butter in the Grammy's.

Since almost everyone mentioned something I would write, all I will add is that the girls with J-Hope are also playing the Korean drums. This is a different view rather than the closeup from the actual full awards though I understand since it’s not copyrighted. Although Jin is not my bias, I love him too and find that many people used to underestimate or underage his talents. I agree with hopes like others have commented 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜🫶🏼👏👏👏
