I respect, admire, and appreciate any person who is able to make a career for themselves in the K-Pop industry. Things get kind of thorny for ARMYs when reactors who fall in love with BTS first starting branching out into the realm of more typical k-pop. I think most ARMYs are ARMYs because BTS is unlike other k-pop acts in the ways that tend to matter most to music lovers--they are heavily involved in the making of their music and they have something to say with every project they put out. While there are other exceptions in k-pop, most groups don't have this element and some of the music just seems like sound without meaning--not to be too harsh; a lot of music fits this description. Exploring new music is always a wonderful thing and no one should discourage you, whichever direction you choose. It's just that, to many ARMY, most k-pop groups have little to offer musically. I'm not very familiar with other groups, but TXT makes meaningful music and has some unique musical influences. Stray Kids are very involved in their music. I'm sure others can weigh in with more information. In terms of girl groups, I strongly recommend MAMAMOO. They've always gone their own way in the industry. I appreciate your reactions and hope you can enjoy exploring new music without pressure. 💜

Most kpop girl groups don't dance too hard, they're meant to be kinda princesses and personally I find it boring, and then XG came on the scene and they're hard rapping, hard dancing Japanese girls working in Korea. Check out their short 2 min special called x-gene/hesonoo and if you like, they're a good group to get into. I love that their styling is fierce too, it's much more fun than the usual pretty-pretty stuff Korea usually puts out. Borahae ami!

I've also listened to quite a few others, including BLACKPINK, Stray Kids, Kep1er, and Ateez since the guys started their military service. I'm not sure what the proper term is for a fan my age, but I consider it like being an Auntie. I love their voices, the dancing is *chef's kiss*, and I care about their well-being. Would I still be considered ARMY at my age? 🤣 I don't care for all the fan arguments and complaints I see in the community though. I think we get enough negativity in everyday life. Just enjoy the music. I get some good-natured teasing from my kids. They think my being a fan is hilarious, but their friends get so excited that they have someone to talk to about it. There’s nothing wrong with supporting a group or being a fan, but leave it at that and move on with your day. XG and Kiss of Life are 2 ggs (girl groups) I'm following since the past year. Interesting stuff so far, good vocals, good dancers. XG doesn't produce their music (Jakops does) but it's always different and REALLY good (except for 2 songs I cannot get behind xD). Kiss of Life are 4 women/girls, which already had a writer among them, they all dive in the production/writing/composing of their songs. A group not known for choreo but because is massively good is Mamamoo :)

@Taevision. they should, BTS , RM has always given talks about not being ugly to other idols. He has asked us, ARMY, to never put them down and to be respectfull. Which is what I'm trying to do. Since 2015 when I started listening to BTS, as a leader RM and the others interact with the fans and have been trying to raise our awareness to be kind and respectful, I try very hard to because at my advanced age, my filter is about gone from a lifetime of having to listen to BS, also because I'm Southern born and raised, I can breakout in a second with a mouth full of hurt. Everybody has toxic fans I know, but this was just uncalled for what they said and when I mentioned the name RM, they went rabid and were very ugly about the guys. So I prefer not to listen to them. Which is ashame, cause I wanted to enjoy a girl group and support women. But that's okay, I picked a few others. They have 0 command over it, Teddy (the producer) recycles songs from previous groups (there is a whole drama there) and also for next ones. They all sound the same. The girls have probably other goals now (acting, modelinng, ddesigning?) but it's not being an idol (striking performances/singing). You don't want to see them live :| grand fiasco. I remember listening to them when they debuted bc I loved 2ne1 (their seniors) but after learning about several things, seeing how they (the members) navigate idol life is a no for me. A big NO. Male physicality is different from Female physicality, which is why You only see Men performing on the horse and rings in the Olympics. Women and Men also come across differently in dance choreography, it's not really fair to compare the two choreographies as they're portraying two different images. Yes, they can dance harder but they're not looking to portray gymnasts, they're going for a swag, chill image.

Good reaction. As far as dancing by female Kpop Idols is concerned, I would suggest you check out Blackpink Lisa's Lilifilm series, especially Lilifilm No. 3. I love BTS, they are my second favorite group after Blackpink. However, once you see Lisa dance, if you are a heterosexual male, you won't be thinking about BTS' dance skills any longer. Lisa is generally regarded as the Best Dancer in Female Kpop. And often ranked as the best rapper. There is a reason why Lisa has over 100 million IG followers world wide, and the only other male or female Kpop Idols that come close are her fellow Blackpink members.

So I’m pretty sure when you asked ARMY what other groups you should react too, BlackPink was not a very popular suggestion, lol. Unfortunately you are asking for a lot of blow back from that. I’m sure we mostly suggested the other groups from BigHit or Hybe plus a couple others like Stray Kids and Ateez. I’m not going to bash BP and it is your channel so do what you want. XG is an amazing group as well, I'm a blink and have been for a LONG time and XG is the only other girl group that hit me the way BP did. Definitely worth check them out. Love the reaction ❤❤
