The messed up thing about bringing up Mother I Sober is that in the song Kendrick is describing the cycle of abuse. He's talking about how his mother was abused and when she suspected Kendrick was too she kept asking him and never believed him. And it affected Kendrick because it made him question himself and his manhood. He was never abused but the affect of his mother's abuse stlil affected him greatly. Drake bringing it up (essentially making fun of him for being m*lested) not only falls flat because that's a shitty way to defend against predator allegations, but it falls flat because it shows he doesn't even understand what Kendrick's song is about.

@@Noah-qu9fb You'd think people who are a fan of a lyricist would be able to debunk a bar and understand that what Drake is saying that to question him, like everyone did on that track. He is acting like yet another person who is not believing Kendrick, and regardless of the reality- he is saying the trauma from that experience is affecting his judgement. Whether or not that is "crossing the line" is irrelevant. You find it inappropriate to attack someone like that, but Dot is making completely baseless accusations of Drake being a sextrafficking pedophile and he wants him to die. Like what the fuck? Are you aware of how serious of an allegation that is, or are you too young?

Daylyt one drakes writers said in hip hop you die by the pen, to kendricks advantage he doesn't need to reply, it would take the attention off this song in particular.

Dad said what I’ve been trying to say: WHY DIDNT ANYONE PROOFREAD THIS SHIT??? This here kids, is why you always read your paper OUT LOUD before handing it in. It might make sense when you’re writing it but it probably sound dumb af to someone else. Drake must’ve thought he sounded so good when he was crying and writing this, but it’s so clear that he was rushing to hand in his homework last minute 😂

27:50 it’s wasn’t Kendrick, it was TDE that brought up R Kelly & X and their point was basically that if they pull those artists down then it should apply to ALL abusers and offenders, not just those two for the publicity’s sake of the Ne Too movement to save face. The more you know.
