the world needs to know what else pusha t has on him... drake was too scared to find out especially since he thought kanye was leaking secrets. he won against meek and got too cocky thinking he could destroy a real battle rapper and pulitizer prize winner and was humiliated. meek may have lost the battle and was the scapegoat but he low key won the war. exposing his ghostwriters plagues drake to this day led to his talent/career/authenticity being questioned, his lack of understanding of the culture and many losing respect for him as a rapper.

Push definitely won this beef. I'd like to reiterate that all of those bars hit a lot harder at the time. @chainlink2348 That sounds very surface level listening. First, I'll start by saying that, in my opinion, this song was just the start. I think Push was expecting a response from Drake and didn't bring out much of the arsenal, and it was very short. What didn't Push attack on this song, though? He went at Drake's character, his mom, his dad, his baby mother, his parenting, his music, his blackness, his identity as a whole. Drake talked about Kanye for half of the Duppy freestyle, plus the beat was wack. In my opinion, you're not giving Push enough credit.

Duppy is a Jamaican slang for a ghost. Basically, he's saying that Pusha is past his prime, I think. And yeah, I agree with the sentiment of some of the other comments - Duppy Freestyle was actually a good track from Drake, and I wonder what would've been if Drake didn't get erased in the beef, because since then he's been dropping almost straight garbage. After the Kendrick beef, it seems like "wah gwan delilah" might be his new norm. EDIT: And by the way, I don't know what Drake was expecting. Pusha T going this dark and talking smack about 40's illness to me was obvious given Pusha's background. Despite what you think about Pusha's background and how invested he may or may not be in that life, dudes in or adjacent to it can recite death and dysfunction like it rolls off the tongue. Don't battle someone like that unless you are ready to deal in that because that's coming.

From what's been going around, Drake didn't even write Back-to-Back. If that's true, might have to take this win from him, and call the beef with Meek a draw. * I could never have a Virgil in my circle and hold him back cuz he makes me nervous. I want to see my brothers flourish to their higher purpose. - The irony of this line is that Drake was doing exactly what he accused Pusha of doing. He's got so many writers in OVO, but none of them have had any success beyond writing for Drake, while Drake has gotten even bigger off of song they wrote. Heck, the reason he had a beef with The Weeknd, is because Drake took and used several songs from him for his album Take Care, that Weeknd had planned to put on his first album.
