No, they don't. SCOTUS has repeatedly ruled that even children have Constitutional Rights. And it is the school's duty to protect kids-- including protecting them from bigoted hateful parents.

@davep5095 I have friends who are teachers. If they COULD "indoctrinate" their students, then the kids would never take their phones out in class, be late for school, try to bully one another, flunk tests, or talk back snottily. Books don't "sexualize" anyone. They make kids smarter. Obviously, your parents didn't encourage you to read books, or you would know that already. You would also understand science, instead of mocking the people who actually do understand it. Congrats on flunking the Basic Life Skills IQ Test.

Academics definitely suffered during the lockdowns. Ask your teacher friends sure trust the science🤣 A majority of books in the school system are great, not sure on that one? Parents need to know what's going on at school, especially on this topic! Anne don't give up on your kids like your parents did.

Yes. How DARE the school call DCFS when parents beat their children or emotionally abuse them into attempting suicide. How a parent raises their child is none of the school's business! See how stupid you sound when you look at it from the POV of someone who is focused on the safety and well-being of CHILDREN, instead of on the butthurt feelings of parents? If you want to know what pronouns your kid wants you to use, maybe try having the kind of relationship with them-- and a lack of bigotry and intolerance-- where they won't be afraid to tell you the truth. Many kids end up homeless after coming out to their parents. LGBTQ kids have a much higher rate of suicide than cis-straight kids, in large part because they are not accepted as they are by their own parents. The school is keeping the child safe and goving them a safe place to come to terms with their LGBTQ status. If that hurts your feelings, then the problem is not the school; it's that you are an intolerant bigot.
