DAD TAKEN TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM AFTER CRASHING INTO FIVE-YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER

It started off to be a great 4th of July weekend but ended up with a trip to the emergency room! We had loads of fun tie dying matching t-shirts and bbq-ing with friends. Fireworks are banned in our area this year so we were having some fun with glow sticks and sparklers in the road until it all came crashing down. Dad fell hard riding his skateboard crashing into poor Hazy bad. He went down on his shoulder and immediately felt his collarbone poke out the back of his shoulder. We knew it wasn't going to be good.
As he laid in the middle of the road waiting for the ambulance and paramedic to come and assess the situation I was surrounded by loved ones and kind caring neighbors. It was too much emotion to contain. The night could have ended so much worse and we are so grateful for the ultimate outcome of this trip to the emergency room on the 4th of July. Thankfully Hazyl was ok and came away with only minor scrapes and bruises. Dad had just put his helmet on moments before and hit his head so hard when he fell that we shudder to think what the outcome might have been had he not been wearing one.
The road to recovery ahead should be painful but ultimately quicker than had something broken instead of the class three separation. So all things considered we are doing great and ready for some more summer fun!
