Soooo nice to see kids learning that life’s marvellous moments are so much better because they’ve learned how to constructively manage the challenges and hard times that we will all face. DDoA, well, they learn early that daddy can sometimes make a mistake, not always as confirmed once in another video. I remember my childhood when we had lots of snow for a long period in my area in Germany and we kids came back home in the evening from bob sliding. Our normal jeans were frozen and stand alone in a cormer of the kitchen, my fingers, my toes felt like dead. Sitting near to an old oven and than life came back, felt like thousands of needles with so much pain, swearing not to go out next day. How wonder, all forgotten over night and same happened next day :-D I am sure after 3 runs both slept like a bear, as we say, through the night.

Trust this - only the ones that are trying their very best, are concerned about the small bumps and fails of the daily tasks and play. These are wonderful kids and no doubt will be great people

Dad fail? Man, you’re frigging awesome. And I’m so humbled. Yesterday I saw a 9 year old girl play the violin as if she was born doing it and now a two year old makes ski jumps .. I mean, Ski. Jumps. I was sixteen first time I stood on skis.

My sister stuck her tongue to a pole in Maine when she was little. We had to get hot water to get her unstuck. We laughed so hard when we were kids.

Adults need to remember that often there is more fear in us than children, especially in these situations. This kid has learned to ski in control, assess challenges and simply have fun! "Hi Kitty Kat!!". Love it. When was the last time you saw a Lynx while skiing?

When my girls were little I used to pay them a nickel for every turn... until it started costing me $5 a run😜 but now as adults they still like to straight line ... I saw adia with her mom yesterday ... and she was telling mom she wanted to hike up! Adorable 🥰

The rough days are the real days as parent. I feel your pain bud, I saw it in your face a few times and my heart felt for ya mate. Keep it up, you are doing an amazing job. You definitely got a thumbs up for the "kids need to tumble and fumble and kind of fail." Learning is just a series of failures leading to the correct outcome. If we don't let our kids fail safely, we don't teach them how to enjoy and continue learning later in life. Thanks for being an honest, flawed (we all are!), amazing teacher to your kids and an inspiration to us parents. P.S. Your videos are killing me! I can't wait for the snow to finally fall in large amounts here in Australia. The tiny pockets of snow I can see on the mountains around me are such a tease!

I get such joy from watching these videos...I started my daughter really young on skis too and she had a blast...we both had a blast, it was the best time ever. These videos bring back so many great memories, thank you. You're awesome with them. My girl and I still get out together for mom/daughter skis days but she's a teen now and has her own interests so it's not so easy to get her out of bed some weekends lol...but the memories will never fade and who knows, maybe someday she will reconnect with skiing and make it her own thing (instead of me having to motivate her each time). Reminds me sooo much of growing up in Northern Wyoming and skiing with my brothers. We started all under the age of 5, but early seventies did not have the outdoor clothing options. My mom created and sewed all out down ski gear... amazing mama🌞

I skied with a less than 3 year old kid and I was terrified. It wasn't even my kid. Going up the lift and a quick incline. I didn't do it again. It was super cute though. I def upped my skill level that day. Cudus man.

You can tell she wants to keep up with the boys. On the first run at the beginning she was going str8 and her brother cut right into the track through those couple trees and then she cut right at the very last second to do the same. 😆 but its good trying to keep up with her older siblings it will make her a much better skier. My little cousin used to practice baseball with me and her older brother and when it came time for her to start playing in a league she was one of the best players if not the best player on her first team.

Kids need to fail to succeed is so true. It's how I was raised, and raised my son. It teaches a kid they can't always win. It teaches them how to lose, as well as how to be a good winner. It makes them appreciate what they can do. And have pride in themselves when they learn how to do something new, or right. The world of participation trophy's takes this away from kids. They don't need to try and win, or succeed in their life when it's handed to them. The only thing I don't like about toddlers on skis, or skateboards, or hovers boards and such. Is they always do it better than me. Darn kids.. lol
