i remember barely being able to run Battlefield 3, on pc, at 30 fps, 800x600 and still having a blast, Battlefield was better then, but for the majority of us, times were also simpler. Time flies by and all we have left from these times, are the memories. Nowadays, i can run BF3, BF4 at 200fps, but the feeling is not the same, that sense of wonder about playing a new game, being excited for a DLC, is gone, all we have left is nostalgia

Battlefield 3 was the best and I don't care what anyone says. The maps, Strike at Karkand, Gulf of Oman, Wake Island, Tehran Highway. I remember going 52-2 on Wake Island, Conquest Mode as an Engineer. Best game.

What was Battlefield? Battlefield was lugging desktop computers and 75Hz CRT monitors to your friend's house with other kids spread out over multiple floors... an ungodly amount of hours over the weekend spent playing, yelling at each other, and eating and drinking all the best life had to offer under 18 years old... and at least one evening dedicated just to Wake Island. 1942 was everything.

We need to agree on one thing. It will never come back. Not because they will never create such game again(they won't). But because we can't go back in time. We will never by young again, we will never have the same joy of playing with gang. This video due to reasons I can't explain hit me like a truck... We got old. From one side it's terrible, and sad, but again even if we won't relive those memories again we have them. And that's the important part. Our time has passed, let's move on but still keep smiling on some old Battlefield videos :)

The succesors of these games nowadays do anything in their power to limit and stiffle social interaction, the core of what made them so great. Made it as bland and boring as possible. No splitscreen. No campaign co-op. Limited voice chat option. Unnecesarry censorsgip. Missing social features.

@@DaDaDo661 I play world of warships and it's crazy fun. Time to kill can be 30s to 30minutes, if you know that you're doing. In all that time you're just lost in tactical tought. But you can also just play for some dumb fun. Made to be fun even if you lose. Captures the long game that Battle Royale offers and a great level of team play since it's made mainly for co-op.

BF3 was easily the most formative game in my life along side Skyrim. It's sad to realize that chapter is completely over. Life got busy, the squad has responsibilities, and even if we didn't, the servers are gone, and the new games are just not the same. But there's so much good that came out of it. Flying around in the jets sparked my interest in aviation which started started a long chain of events, and now I'm a pilot and on my way to the airlines hopefully in the near future. This game literally changed the trajectory of my whole life

From an absolute noob that cheers at 2 kills in one game of 1942 to a server closing "not this cheater again" sweatlord. 2 decades of fun. Every single entry, including Battlefield Heroes (that truth be told were ahead of its time). We had a good run.

No other shooter comes close to the fun and competitiveness that is BF3. I'd play with two friends from the US all the time. Attack and support choppy pilot lover. I'd go 2nd mvp with 0 kills as support pilot while my buddy mows everything with the minigun. Good times
