On one hand Sabrina's Dad wasn't being overly controlling on the other hand Sabrina was wrong for complaining that she was being overly controlling. Yes that was sarcasm because there wasn't anything that was out of the norm parents should care with their kids wear. If a parent really loves their kids they would care what they wear and how they're presenting themselves. But yes there is such thing as overly controlling but that's not one of them that quote is cold actually loving your kid. That is also called get ready for the real world so that they can make better choices on their own. Doesn't mean they'll always make good choices but you at least are supposed to care enough to teach them. These modern-day messages from Hollywood and even this demonize parents for doing that.
