1:13:39 I think we all just needed to communicate with more grace and understanding. As listeners and as the speakers. Navigating communication can be difficult because everyone has different styles and everyone assumes the other person inherently understands unverbalized expectations and that's rarely the case. The point of communication is to understand and to be understood and we all do that differently. Believing you share that goal with those you are communicating with allows you to be a lot more forgiving of any missteps.

I miss when we had Houston Comets with WNBA. My fam had season tickets. Great tips Chaz for tips with procrastination. I have those issues combined with anxiety and depression. I also had to learn to tell ppl in advance when I want to vent or have a conversation. Still learning that in return, since most ppl dont express the same or change up when they dont like the direction of the conversation. I definitely think Chaz was just being helpful. My second son is just like Keon's second son. Crazy though because my son gets frustrated because he wants to be like his older brother. I've left a critical comment or two on various members of this pod, but Keon discussing his son was dope. I freeze up playing arm-chair Jeopardy on questions I know, so I can identify with that conversation (as well as Craig's sister), and the way Keon handled it was excellent parenting/communicating. Feel like a lot of issues in the world would be cured if people took the same approach. Also, Craig's "because that's the only place in Chicago where they don't shoot" made me actually laugh out loud. The man has grassy knoll level accuracy when he decides to take a shot with his jokes.

🧐Shaq had an interesting take on the WNBA thing.. He basically said if the WNBA lowered their Basketball Rim down a couple inches (men & women's regulation height are both 10 feet even) ...the female ballers will be able to perform more electrifying plays, which would entice fans to wanna pull up more often, etc. Apparently they lowered the Net for Women's tennis 🎾 as well & it helped make the matches more competitively entertaining.🤓

With kids if they have an older sibling ( a year or so apart) the younger catches on a lot faster because they’ve seen what the older kid does. My sister and I are 18 months apart & my mom said she didn’t even have to potty train my sister because she saw me peeing on the potty, so one day she just ripped her pamper off and started to sit on the training pot on her own 🤷🏽♀️

Tony is the only one that seems to get this. LeBron was dead ass wrong for the way he treated Cleveland when he left. We were going to be sad he left for sure. But the way he did is shited all over Cleveland. The front office may not have supported him in the best way possible. But the fans always supported the Cavs and LeBron. Him being pissed off at the front office is understandable. The fans did not deserve what he did and the way he did it. And once LeBron was away, and won his rings. When he came back to Cleveland, he came back humbly and with an apology.. the fans did not deserve what he did to us he recognized that and apologized. You can’t ask for more than that. Nobody is ever begrudging LeBron for wanting a ring. It made us sad that he couldn’t get it in Cleveland but I think most adults understood that he was a professional athlete and that the ring or the top honor is the always the goal. Again we would’ve been sad he left. But then he put us in that awkward ass position as well. Embarrassing us with that bullshit DECISION 🤬It’s not what you do, it’s how you do it. His.

1:30:05 The reason why it's different Chaz, is bc you're chasing a laugh. When people do dramatic versions of their life, they're chasing all types of emotion. If it happens to be funny, then cool. However, a comedian will try to craft the story to make it funny. They're not going on stage and just spilling their guts. They're going up there and trying to make light of situations that maybe the audience doesn't fully agree with. The audience may say, yeah I laughed but, only bc you crafted it that way. And as they think about it, they may say, oh yeah, I laughed at what he said but, the subject matter wasn't funny. It's hard to then take that as seriously as a dramatic piece or documentary.
@CHAZRODGERS Жыл бұрын
Everything can be funny. I’ve heard the worse topics and died laughing. Chasing a laugh and doing stand up aren’t the same thing. Comedy should be respected the same.
