The "Bubble" NBA ring convo always confuses me & maybe it's because most people have a tough time visualizing things from someone else's perspective, but that ring almost counts as 2 rings to me. We're talking about professional athletes that are used to traveling a few times per week on a plane who have certain routines that help them stay mentally & physically ready to compete at their best. Some people that means certain massages & physical therapy, for others it can mean going out to bars/clubs/strip clubs or being with family or whatever to help them mentally with winding down & relaxing after games. 2020 the whole world was wondering if society as a whole was going to end & the NBA players still had to play ball which theoretically should be the last thing on people's minds during a global shutdown. On top of that, they were in Orlando the entire time, which when you're used to traveling as much as them, must suck because they could be stuck anywhere & I know how people feel about Florida (I love it there, but I hear what people say about it LOL). If I'm not mistaken, they couldn't really leave the hotels because they were on serious security watch & I don't know if they could have family there or if they had to sneak or bribe to do so, but being around their fam can mean everything to them being game ready. They had no fans, which is very strange because most of these guys can't even remember the last time they played ball with no audience & the fans are such a big part of the game. Players feed off that energy. & when they did get some type of audience, it was Zoom style fans on screens, which is NUTS!! Everything involved with the "bubble" ring makes the game harder. That's like saying doing comedy was so much easier because you don't have to worry about travel. Just go do your comedy outside standing on a makeshift stage made out of 2 by 4's & milk cartons. Bubble ring counts with no asterisk DC. Sorry brudda 🤷🏾‍♂️
