Kim is 100% born and raised in Brooklyn I know that cause I went to school with her and Nino. Her pops kicked her out when she was like 14 so she became a drug mule and she was always traveling but Brooklyn was always her home. She only lived in the Bronx with her Mom for a year then she ended up moving back to Brooklyn in LG projects. Daddy o sounds like a bitter guy especially the way he talked about Rakim, he’s always negatively speaking about Biggie cause he feels like he should’ve been in Puffy’s shoes and he’s still lying about Kim being from the Bronx in every interview.

Geeblaze05 i like Daddy O but i saw another video wherr he claim Rakim never mentioned where he was from like he was embarrassed to be from Long Island. Rakim said Rough enough to break NY frm Long Island so what is Daddy O talking abt. Maybe its his big bad Brooklyn attitude not wanting to admit the best that ever did it was a fly lyrical heast that grew up in the suburban hoods of Strong Island and at that time Long Island had the game on smash with Rakim EPMD Public Enemy Keith Murray Freddie Foxx Method Man Biz Markie Dela Soul Craig Mack Leaders of New School Grand Daddy I.U Buster Rhymes and Prodigy frm Moob Deep K Solo MF Doom JVC Force Prince Paul frm Stesasonic RA the Rugged Man A Plus Soul for Real just to name a few. Rakim never fronted where he was from but what he said it aint where you frm its where you at does ring true when people get together from all over to party together or vibe mentally physically or spiritually because thats what Rakim was on.

Sounds like sacrilege but then you think a blur when was Ra's last great record? To me they're all off 18th Letter which dropped in '98 and most of the material on it was recorded post-Eric-B-breakout durning the mid-90's. The Master I more remember for beats and think Ra worked on the rhymes for the last one for 7 years and The Master for 7 months. Listened to Seventh Seal or whatever once. That had bad production and Ra stuck into a formula. I ain't gonna call a Nike ad with KRS & Kanye a great song let alone great Ra song. Been 20 years and he been cultivating that mystery so long in place of actually adding material that builds on his legacy. KRS can still body shit on the right record even tho he records in between incessant club touring, doesn't pay for production anymore nor in the studio enough doing anything but rapping to produce himself (or maybe D-Nice & Kenny really held it up for BDP post-ScottLaRock and pre-Primo-solo-KRS-Renaissance) but he can still body tracks

+El Comandante Please. Neither Eminem, Jay, Nas, Raekwon nor Kendrick or Anderson Paak make "WC gangster music" yet have still made heat with Dr Dre. Even Dre's last solo wasn't actually in that lane. Rakim woulda benefitted from dropping a project of note in this millennium so if Dre actually felt good enough to release a Rakim record with his name/imprint on it that would mean it was quality but Rakim has shown little ability to do so.

People from different eras also have a different perspective on who is the best because they were around to see legends prior to who others consider legends. Ex. When i was coming of age Sugar Ray Leanard was the greatest boxer in the world to me. My father admitted that Sugar Ray Leanard was a great boxer but said " He isnt as good as Sugar Ray Robinson though". You see different era different hero.
