It's just a different level of understanding based on experience. If you were there you know the music just sounds watered down. It's like the difference between the old Wendy's, Pizza Hut that you could sit down, or KFC versus what we have today. If you never tasted it, you might think they always were what they are today, buy it's not even close. People aren't just hating. We had it so good that we can't really feel a lot of new things. It's like real cheese vs slices made from vegetable oil. We just know what the movement was and now it's missing.

It's truly a treat to sit and listen to him tell you incredible stories about working with some of Hip Hop's greats. One of my favorites is hearing him tell what actually happened at Quad the night Tupac got shot. He always tells me that I'm stuck on Old School...yes, it's my favorite era and the majority of my clients are from that era. I respect his appreciation and respect for today's artists and producers. That's what makes Daddy-O a great artist and producer himself, because of his critical ear for good music, regardless of the genre or era.
