I'm a father of a beautiful 9 year old baby girl and this songs just make me cry no matter how strong I am I just can't hold back tears and I pray to our lord that I'm around when her day comes I also read some of the posting of some girls that lost their daddy's and they wish they were still here for their big day well let me tell you all you girls your daddy's will be there trust me on that my wife lost her father at age 9 and it broke my heart when we got married because she was in tears and I prayed to god to please give my wife a sign that he was there with us and she got it so that's why I say please don't be sad your daddy's are always there. I was raised by my step dad, butttt he was my real dad for taking care of me, like a dad. Your real dad is the one that is there for you, takes care of you and it takes a lot of love to do that. I just hope my step knew that I always felt that he was "my dad", before he passed away. Just make sure your foster dad knows he's "your dad" before you can no longer tell him.

Hey Elin, my daughter is 11, just like you. I have terminal cancer, unfortunately, so I won't be around for her wedding either. That's really tough to cope with. It's something that every daddy wishes for his little girl. But even though I can't give her that dance or walk her down the aisle, I'll always be with her. February 5th last year would have been their 50th and he passed just 5 short months before it. We celebrated them of course and showered mom with flowers. I feel honored to marry the one man my dad considered good for me and called his son. My fiance' lost his dad many years ago so the time he spent with my dad was so precious.
