I think you need to ask Cole to install one of those simply safe cameras in the top of each bin with a light. That way instead of climbing up on top of those dangerously built bins, you can just check using your cell phone. We don't want you to fall off of one of those bins because it would probably leave a really big mark on the ground !!! 😏

You ever thought of getting a thermal camera to look at your bins? I would think the grain would create a temp delta between empty and full areas. Would save you from climibing up the bin. Maybe find a place you could rent a thermal camera and try it out.

You would think knowing how public yalls lives and theirs when working for you are that the companies involved would have been on their A game. I used to always lose my glasses and look absolutely everywhere for them and when my kids would come home from school I'd ask them to help look for them. They would say " mom, they are on top of your head" 🤣😂🤣 This happened more times than I would like to admit. 😅 please DC get cole to hook up a light and camera so you can look on your phone to check out the interior of those grain bins. It's not worth the risk. They should be ashamed of themselves. I'm absolutely disgusted by their lack of workmanship, ethics. Until you get the lawsuit squared away and the bins fixed, you all really should be wearing hard hats whenever you are around the bins. You could be running augers (noisy) and not hear something come loose and fall.

Would you please get yourself a climbing harness. You can have a couple of lines coming off so you have at least 2 attachments. That way you will always be hooked. I recently completed a second story deck project at my house. The deck height is 9' off the ground. To close out the building permit, the inspector checked the safety rail height, step consistency, baluster spacing, graspable hand rails, in addition to the structure/span joists. Basically all aspects that prevent a fall, or could cause a fall if done improperly. This is out in small rural Kentucky. Shameful that your bin installer could walk on a project of that magnitude with the piss poor work. I really hope that others in your area that could fall victim to this contractor is aware of who did your work.

Put Flex Tape over the holes to keep the water out. JUST KIDDING. If you EVER use Flex Tape, you first must understand it will NEVER come off. My Dad put some on some leaky windows on the boat. No one has any advice on the web how to remove it. The manufacturer's advice is so weak, that it doesn't work. I used a torch and multiple scrapings, then lacquer thinner after days, finally got it all off. And this was just a small area!

Amazing how cheap those bins are…not sure of it was install or manufacturer or both. While not a bin, the railing outside my work steps was installed in 1985, made of galvanized 1” pipe and it still just as strong as day 1 after 38 years. Ya would figure those railings on the bins could make it a year.
