Stellar Xbox HD+ MOD Comparison Video - Dad & Lads Gaming

I recently bought the Stellar Xbox HD+ HMDI mod from ‪@MakeMHz‬ and decided to compare it to other aspects of my Xbox set up;
Xbox via component to a 36" Consumer CRT
Xbox via component to a 20" BVM
Xbox via component to a Retortink 5x
Xbox Via Stellar Mod to a 75" 4k TV
Im certainly no expert at this kind of comparison video but hopefully my recording skills aren't too bad.

The options we have these days for A/V out are amazing. I mainly use my wee Retro Tink X2 for my earlier consoles, but I sense an upgrade to the 5X on the horizon with the Retro Tink 4K releasing soon 😎👍

They all look great but the BVM was just "WOW" . Theres just something about the CRT phosphor that looks incredible.

It looks soooo good on the big screen. Especially jet set radio. I'm really impressed with it and would honestly highly recommend it to anyone. Not just because of the output, but the way it's been designed. It really is a quality mod. With everything else it will likely do soon too, I think it's the future as far as the Xbox is concerned. It is certainly future proof 🙂

Ive got anl Hydra switch going into an OSSC to my C1 OLED and its cool but the OSSC is a bit too fiddly for me to get the best out of it. I know you can get amazing results out of it but i juat dont have the time or knowledge to get the best from it and am hoping that the tink 5x or 4k could be a little more accessible.

The 4k will be expensive but it’s looking amazing. If you want something cheaper I’d definitely recommend the 5x👍🏻👍🏻

For a moment there, I thought I was watching one of my own videos, the way that you filmed the CRT lol Time to work on your Outrun skills, good god! Great video, very informative. I should hook up those Monster cables I have and see if they make a difference.

Sounds like MakeMhz have outdone themselves mate, quality! But kind of to be expected as it's essentially making the Xbox native digital output instead of Analogue to Digital upscaling via the 5X 🙂 look forward to seeing their future add-ons for the Stellar, sure you'll get them all 😅

just watched an interesting plug and play for the Xbox very expensive but if it's for you its worth the money 2x HDMI out and 4 internet sockets for Lan PLay (Nacho Productions) The retrotink does make it look really sweet, Steller HD does look good does not look dark at all very nicely shared Marcus. Must admit the 360 is almost the obvious decision and is cheaper than a RetroTink I think ?

You could see the definition improvement with the stellar although i have to say i kinda liked the softer edges via the retrotink, sound wise you can defo tell!

The Tink is an awesome all rounder...well worth the money in my opinion. K just couldn't resist getting this Xbox upgrade.....well chuffed with it👍
