Clarus is correct that the greens were going to instal Aegon as King no matter what. We see this in the green council episode of 1x9 that they already had everything planned for years. The entire point of there being a green faction of the Targaryens is that the Hightowers had cultivated a group of supporters at court and on the council that saw Aegon as the rightful ruler.

i think it’s starting to become unclear if the dreams are his own subconscious issues and guilt, or they’re sent by alys to manipulate him. i think they maybe started as being real inner issues, but at this point, it’s starting to be an overstretch. he also seems to have a subconscious with continously transforming issues. he feels guilty for: aemond(which frankly, i wouldn’t know why; maybe he fears of being to like him, or maybe he fears him?), about how he went about everything with rhaenyra, whom he probably loves, or at least loved, laena, jahaerys, he sees everyone, except viserys. maybe at the end of the day he is most sure of his incapability of really betraying him, although, he kinda did, with rhaenyra, when he took her to that brothel, but….then, he’s missing the validation of his mother, i mean, he is either plagued by many unresolved stuff, or the writers are going all out there with daemon, or alys is just working overtime.

THose are the Freys. They're in a Bridge Castle over the Tridents (the one and only) called The Twins because it's two castle across each other that looks the same.

Right. The Twins represents the *ONLY* crossing point for hundreds of miles in either direction. It is a major barrier to travelers and merchants traveling from the North to the western Riverlands. It lies directly on the main route from Winterfell to Riverrun. To move westward without crossing the bridge at the Twins requires a lengthy detour hundreds of miles to the south or hazardously traversing the bogs and swamps to the north. The quickest and easiest route is over the river via the bridge the Freys built, which is wide enough for 2 wagons side by side. (In the books, the bridge is covered and has a tower in the middle as well, basically forming a long corridor between the castles and allowing travelers to get out of the weather as they crossed, and the middle tower has guest suites.) The Freys used to charge money to cross, which is how they accumulated their immense wealth, which allowed them to build the two large tower castles at either end of The Crossing. I am not sure, but I think they still charge money for small groups and single riders, probably a percentage of goods from merchants and traders. But from bigger hosts they seem to extract political favors instead.

Regarding the source of Daenerys's eggs: In the book, they were 3 eggs from Dreamfyre that were stolen by this swashbuckling, lesbian sailor named Elissa Farman, decades before the events of the series. She stole them and escaped to Braavos, where she sold them to commission a ship to be built so she could explore the Sunset Sea (west of Westeros). She disappeared, but a young Corlys Velaryon claims to have seen her ship again in the port of Asshai (a far eastern city in Essos). People are upset because Elissa Farman's story is super awesome, and changing the source of the eggs essentially eliminates that story from show canon.

Had to re-watch to confirm but Clarus did say there was no knee bending and the brackens never bent the knee and instead showed up late at night to confront Daemon but that's not accurate. The brackens did bend the knee and a group of remaining river lords showed up to condemn the actions. I assume the brackens weren't there because: 1. They already bent the knee. 2. Daemon speaks of the brackens in third person while he's addressing the other river lords.

Daemon wish to rule equally besides Rhaenyra is to mirrior his grandparents Jaehaerys and Alysanne. He wants to bring another golden age of Targaryen power but he wants to do it with Rhaenyra as her equal just like his grandparents were. People have survived skydiving accidents where their chutes never opened at all, or even falling from a plane without even having a chute. You reach terminal velocity, and there are ways to survive that, especially if vegetation breaks your fall; in this case we even saw trees bending as they broke the fall, and Sunfyre would likely have done everything it could to reduce the speed of the fall as well as break the fall for Aegon even more. Falling from the sky is actually more survivable than you might think!

the reason people are mad about the egg situation is that there was already an explanation for how daenaerys got her eggs in the book, during the reign of king jaehaerys (the king from the prologue of ep 1) three of dreamfyre's eggs, which we thought was corroborated by the fact that Dreamfyre's appearance in season 1 seemed to be the most similar to that of Dany's dragons from game of thrones, whereas Syrax doesn't bear any resemblance to them at all. About the eggs in fire and blood there is an incident decades before the dance were three eggs are stolen, and is not literally confirmed but is heavily hinted that does eggs are Dany's, mainly because the thief sails towards the direction were Pentos is and buys some ships for wich she has no money, and it's asumed by some character(without proof) that she likely sold them to some random merchant in Pentos, and the eggs are given to Dany by a merchant in Pentos, then in season 1 Helaena's dragon from whom the eggs come from in the book was designed to look like Drogon, Rhaegal and Viserion.

I think fans just get too upset when anything deviates too much from "canon" now. Dreamfyre's three eggs that are stolen were never confirmed by Martin to be Dany's eggs, it is just what the fandom assumes. And then when the director said the eggs on the show (which are Syrax's eggs, I believe) were Dany's eggs, people got mad and Condal had to walk it back. I agree with you that it literally does not matter because the events of GoT are unchanged by this either way. Some people were saying it gives more importance to Rhaenyra (Syrax's rider) over Helaena (Dreamfyre's rider) but even though I love the precious bug queen, I don't really get it. Isn't Dany the mother of her dragons whether or not the eggs came from Dreamfyre?

No matter how bad I also feel for aegon and sunfyr, Mind you NOT EVEN Maegor Targeryan the Cruel disrespected dragons like that. They are pride and strength of House Targeryan. Thats why all of the Team Green are nasty hightowers at the End of the day. Parading meleys head through kings landing damages the Targeryans reputation and risks angering the people. Dragons are crucial part of Targeryan power; disrespecting fallen dragons could lead to unrest in Kings Landing.

Otto would have usurped the throne no matter what Alicent said when Vysceres died. Maybe Alicent was upset at the council, because if she was chosen she could have tried to end the war... instead it's Aemond. And more war. Aemonds last plan basically killed the king, Rhaenees and 2 dragons.

Clearly "someone" had either read spoilers, the wiki, or least likely the book, but if Sunfyre is alive in the show I'm going to be legit pissed. How the hell in a world with a million spies could you cover up the survival of something the size of a dozen elephants, lie about it to ALICENT or actively against your own cause which Cole is clearly committed to, and have no one notice or comment? Even assuming Sunfyre was kept at Rooks Rest for recovery, why would Criston tell Alicent he "was slow in the dying" that is past tense. I dont give a shit what happens in the books if i see the dragon alive again I will LoL and be like jump the shark moment.

The Blackwoods sworn fealty to team Black (Rhaenyra & Daemon). The Brackens had previously swore fealty to team Green (Aegon II and Aemond One Eye). Daemon wants both of Houses, but since the rivalry between the two is soo ancient and bitter, the Brackens will not by any means swear to the service with a King whom the Blackwoods have also sworn to. Even if that king has dragons, since the alternative has dragons too. They would rather burn. So Daemon tells the Blackwoods to try another means to “persuade” the Brackens. And, we are led to believe that the Blackwoods took that to mean, by force. Now the books and the shows have given us that when the blood of men runs high, some men can’t control themselves. And so during the Blackwood’s forceful “persuasions” some took things too far. And so representatives from some of the lesser River Lords showed up at 3 am to inform Daemon of the atrocities and that they will not swear fealty to a tyrant. The problem is that the Blackwoods and the Brackens have already had it out this season, Aegon’s forces are making examples of even some houses that had already sworn fealty to Aegon, and while at Harrenhal we don’t even know what is real or dream anymore.

The true irony is people acting like it's dumb to discuss differences from the books when they themselves are incapable of understanding that the book does actually establish a lot of facts, it's not just some wishy-washy nonsense, if it was then why even have a book in the first place. The show is simply an adaptation, they make lots of changes. It's not some "true version" of events.

Book readers are confused because we HAVE been given strong hints about how Dany's eggs left Westeros. It hasn't been explicitly said that they are Dany's three so Ryan does technically have wiggle room here, but until that episode aired there is only ONE documented event of three dragon eggs being stolen and moved across the narrow sea, first to Braavos then to Pentos, which is why everybody thinks that's canon. Myself included, so I don't really like the decision either, but I understand the pull to connect the two shows in sneaky ways and it's whatever. This is such a minor and small thing in show canon that won't affect the stories in any way so even though I don't like it it's not making me frothing mad either. It's fine I guess🤷

There is no consensus about the origin of Daenerys' eggs. But one character stole 3 dragon eggs and traveled to Asshai during Jaehaerys' reign (before Dance of Dragons). But the show runner/producer confirmed that in the shows those eggs Rhaenyra gave to Rhaena are Dany's eggs.

@@mischr13 Yeah, this show is a struggle with face blindness! So many times a character shows up and everyone goes, "Oooh! That person again!" and I have absolutely no clue who it's supposed to be (like the woman who meets the maid near the end). For future reference, Ulf has wavy dirty grey-blond hair with stubble and is generally very grubby-looking, while the smith has straight light blond hair and a full beard with a moustache and is generally clean(ish) and well-groomed.

Mentioned stuff from Fire and Blood so below the Spoiler line is Fire and Blood Stuff. I have not included anything from the sections of the book relevant to the show that has not already been said (unless there are some big changes). The Eggs, so Fire and Blood has three eggs that are stolen from Dragonstone where Dreamfyre (yes the spelling is weird) was at the time, Dreamfyre had laid a clutch of eggs before then but it's not said that they are Dreamfyre's eggs. The Eggs were then sold the eggs to make a cool ship that was used to sail west of Westeros. So we don't know that they are Dreamfyre's eggs in the book but it kind of was assumed by the Fandom.

Clarus is ON POINT! It was Blood & Cheese 2.0 - Daemon commands something without specific details and limits. Daemon is chopping wood and then moves to Alys, she tells him of the horrors happening in the Brackenlands and surrounding Riverlands. And then Lord Strong comes in interrupting their talk to announce that the Blackwoods have succeeded. Daemon without asking any questions tells him to call up Ser Willem (Blackwood leader) for details and Daemon tells Lord Strong that the “Blackwoods will be feted in these halls.” I think the Riverlords beat Ser Willem to the punch and show up in the “hour of the wolf” - which I had to look up and apparently it’s like 3 to 5 am. So, the Blackwoods went in and basically “Red Wedding’d” the whole of the lands in Targaryen name. He’s out there stashing the women, children, and coffers he’s taken hostage, and the lords of those lands rushed to put Daemon to task before he can be told lies by the Blackwoods.
