Love your battle reports! How the heck did that gut bus get a flank charge into the crushers? Looks very much like they were pointed downhill at your army and would have had to reform. Maybe some of the pictures were out of order?

Beat the hound on his opponents turn and reformed so that he could charge on his own turn?

Yes pforson is correct. They won combat on my turn so reformed to face the other direction.

Yes 2 DPs is an option, but I just love the bloodthirster so much :) I would also need to paint 2 more big models... so maybe one day..

the Heralds are meh, and get punked by just about anyone, but their Loci are so powerful you almost have to have them. I've played with both Loci, and for me Hatred is the go to. I need those rerolls. I've found Skulltakeron a Jugg with a unit of Bloodcrushers is almost an autoinclude. I realize its fluffy because Chaos and all, but the random roll for gitts and the lack of Demon banners is total crap. We house ruled it to pick the Gifts.

Yea the army has a lot of weaknesses. A way of reliably giving the Bloodthirster an armour save would go a long way...

not the same scenerio, but when I played ogres with that death star, I had a Verminlord attack me in the rear and challenge out one of my characters. Vermin lord won combat and broke entire unit wiping them out. So that same tactic should work against the Ogres here. If you can get a rear charge with the Bloodthirster and beat their non combat Lord in a challenge.

Love this, but it would be better if you took notes during the game so that you know exactly what happened 👍

I think theres a balance to be struck between recording all the details and keeping the flow of the game. It would be absurd to write down every dice roll as you may as well just have a video recorder in your hand. And even if you just wanted to record every spell cast and every combat result that would impact the flow of the game while you are playing. In my opinion you either record it with a camera and your opponent must accept that the game will take 1-2 hours longer than usual, or you just play a normal game taking a few photos as you go along and try to remember as much as possible when you get home...
