The Old World Wood Elves vs Beastmen 27.8.2024

Doug came around to blood his beastment. I thought it was high time to give the woodies a go at TOW. Some rude surprises ensued.
Tactical enhancement was local.

A very good battle report. Not too long, well explained and lovely models and terrain. Beastmen are one of the highest rated armies in The Old World and this battle report shows why. I don't think Dryads cut it anymore. They were very good in 7th Edition and formed the bulk of my army. But strength 3 and 6+ regen doesn't cut it now, especially as they cannot flee. Wood Elf scouts are only two points more than standard glade guard and are a far better option I think.

Thanks! I agree re the unit changes. I've been playing around with a more competitive list focused on scouts and a couple of big beasties. I didn't have the heart to play it against a Doug last game as he's only had a few games of TOW... but soon.
