That's not the original kit in the buttstock. That's some USGI stuff that someone stuffed in there. The original rifles have a nylon pull through in the larger compartment in the pistol grip cleaning kit. The buttstocks are typically hollow with nothing in them.

+Daewoo Rifleparts And this is because Daewoo rifles barely ever need cleaned. I've got one I ran over 10K rounds through, WITH a can, and never cleaned it, just squirted some oil into the action when operation became sluggish. It's truly like an AK, or a good prostitute...she'll keep working as long as you keep her lubed. :P

The last owner did not clean the rifle before he stored it for a looooong time and now that I have the rifle and cleaning but the gas regulator will not turn and I can't take it off. I depress the button but it will not turn both way at all! Soaked in WD40, used torch, but nothing! Well I didn't heat it up too high because I don't want to damage the barrel but... Any suggestions??

+PARK JC (앞으로나아갈때) i'm not 100% certain what you are asking. If you are asking if I know how to take apart both of these rifles than the answer is yes. Most certainly. However if you are asking if the parts are compatible than it's both yes and no. Daewoo K2 rifles use the same: bayonet, muzzle device, magazine, ammunition, trigger group(with minor modification) as the M16 but the rest of the parts are not compatible.
