Yep i remember you from Ryder ,the last workshop to shut ..With the EGR fault the housing the differental pressure sensor sits on ,going by the book should have been replaced if there is pitting where the O rings sit...On a plus point EGR and the VGT have been deleted ,so from 2023 motors on they are no more ..I guess CUMMINS decided it was too much of a problem ,i guess there will be more ad-blue usage ,but that is a small price to pay for more uptime You do work on some old kit ,a 5speed ZF box lol ..When they moved to cable change for Euro6 there where issues with the ZF 5speed not adapting well to the cables ,so a Eaton 5 speed was brought in ,it looked the same as the ZF box ,but i have never ever seen one ..so i can only surmise the 5speed has been deleted ,Then again how often does someone now buy a manual ??Even the ZF AS-Lite is no more to be replaced by the ZF Powerline a proper Auto ,strangely though it will not go in to gear unless you press the brake ..Now you know drivers never get or read manuals ,The selector switch is still the same ,if they do not know they have a poweline they just turn the switch ,it won't go in to gear there is no press brake warning so they DAFaid it duhhh...You have always had to remove the fuel filter housing to get the pump off lol

Yeah it was, looking back it was a good company to work for. I did replace the sensor might not have shown that tbf, yeah proper old, but I think they wasn’t as bad truck at all,

You don’t see many manuals at all anymore, it was actually nice to drive a manual truck lol I’d like to drive a old XF with a manual box with a weighted trailer snd see how it is.

No shame working for agencies, got to go where the work is to put food on the table. I work in a different industry but back when I went self employed and didn't have enough work to pay my wages i went gardening and also had a contract to clean out the bug zappers in bakeries to top up my money!

Ive done that gear slop problem, was the pivot ball assembly, and the pins with the little uj end caps, seize solid...

Ahh yeah I know where you mean, I haven’t done them for a long time! Nice easy repair with it’s the clips.

Hi may be try a estate car for work and family life down the seats then a work horse bit of carpet in the back that is what i do

Yeah that isn’t a bad shout that, I was looking at a 3 seater van but that maybe a better option.
