Sadly not many people give Giorgio the respect he deserves, making the synth a mainstay. Love this track.

Been listening to Giorgio since I was a teen in the 70's... may have to borrow this record of my son to listen too or even better, buy myself.

I went to a hifi show with a friend who took this CD with him to audition various systems. In most of the rooms we visited this track was blasted at loud volumes on some very expensive equipment and left me wincing at the coarse and strident sound that I heard. Listening to this on my Sennheiser HD600 headphones and tube amp combo the sound is far more refined, and mixing effects and subtle details can be heard that were inaudible on that occasion. It's like one is hearing a completely different piece of music.

Thanks for your comments! The few hifi shows I've been too have never been very good for proper listening . . . But it's good to know you like the sound on this video (even with KZbin compression!) A great deal of this is down to the Graham Slee Accession MC phono amp which equalises record and cartridge independently. I'd never heard such detail from my records before getting this remarkable little box.

I've been listening to your recordings as a playlist, and so far this is the third album and I am loving it. Wonderful sound! Inspiring.

Interesting combination of a bit awkward speech and the highly sophisticated music. Thanks for your tasteful selection and perfectly precise reproduction!

Thank you, Bob. I recently listened to this track a lots of times because of my video, but it never hurts to hear it one more time (and another, and another...) with such a great sound like the one you get from your terrific setup.

Thank you Alvaro! As I said, I was finishing my video when you posted yours. We have exquisite taste in music ;o)

Ah, Daft Punk, as you promised! Beautiful sound Bob, but i wasn't expecting less, coming from you! Love what you did at the end when the platter shrinks with the sound effect. 😄 A perfect match!

Hi Rui - thanks for the comments, as usual! And yeah - I was just playing around in FCPX at the end ;o)

Hi Bob, the bad news are that my channel has gone. 🎳💥 But the good news are that I am still on the bright side of life and your new, heavy platter is really amazing. Greetings Michael. 🧘♂️ P.S. I love the idea for the video ending. Sound and Video are cast together in great harmony. 🌈🍾

Hi Michael - I'm really sorry about your channel, you had some great music on there! I'm amazed that my channels are still working. Maybe it is only a matter of time before YT pull s the plug on me? Did you get copyright strikes before the channel was terminated? Will you try another channel? I'm really pleased with the new brass platter, it adds to the dynamics of the sound. And yes, I had a bit of play in the video editor at the end ;o)

@@MusicAndVinyl the whole thing with yt and music is more a game with hidden rules and so it is unfotunately not possible to give you a clear picture. Michael

I've had videos blocked where the music has been available on other channels, so I think you are right about hidden rules!

Hola Bob, Este no es de mis estilos favoritos de música pero destaco el gran sonido y la edición de video muy bien ajustada. Has repintado el plato o lo has cambiado?. Dorado se ve más sofisticado.

Hola Roberto! Esta es una nueva bandeja de latón de 12kg. ¡La inercia aumentada hace que el sonido sea aún más dinámico!

Excellent sound. I know this track very well and have never heard it sound this good. I need to go home and listen to my copy through headphones and figure out why my system doesn’t sound as good as yours! My system is SoundSmith MIMC Star on a VPI Prime into Herron VTPH-2a with many tweaks. I’m guessing your table and arm combo is superior, as I would think the cart would be relatively equivalent.
@MusicAndVinyl5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comments. I too have a SS MIMC Star and I think you're right about that and the Synergy GM SPU being on a par. I know the Graham Slee Accession MC phono amp I'm using is the best I've ever used - it digs up the detail like it's going out of fashion ;o). Something to do with the record and cartridge being equalised separately . . .

I am an audiophile and I work on CNC lathes/mills in a precision workshop .. I don't know how much this turntable cost, I assume it costs a lot of money .. But I can definitely tell you that this platter wasn't well made .. you can see it wobbling at 5:40, wobbling a lot and the lower chamfer (between the lower face and the diameter) is not even .. this kind of part should be turned very precisely, with tiny tolerances .. you shouldn't be able to see any wobbling surface when it spins, it should be stable like it isn't rotating at all ..

The platter wasn't seated properly. My mistake!

Wow Bob! That’s the best sound I have heard on your channel till date. I think the new heavy brass platter is doing something very interesting. What’s your thought ?

Thank you!! The heavy platter has increased intertia over the other one and I think it improves the dynamics. I'm certainly very pleased I have it ;o)

Thanks Bob. Is your Garrard chassis the original one or is it the one fabricated by Classic hifi with stronger materials ?
@MusicAndVinyl5 жыл бұрын
My chassis is CTC's own, CNC machined from solid aluminium rather than cast. (see www.classichifi-shop.co.uk/product/classic-301-hammertone-20/ ). A good visual clue is the lack of bolt heads either side of the centre speed control, as the CTC 301 chassis fixes from below like the 401. I also use CTC's power supply/speed control and had the eddy brake disc on motor spindle removed. The speed knob on the chassis isn't connected to anything now. My aim was to get the "ultimate" 301, without quite going the whole hog and getting CTC's Reference model which uses a solid brass chassis.

Hola! Sé que es un video antiguo, pero tienes bastante distorsión desde el 4:23 al 4:38 mas o menos, crees que puede ser debido a mal alineamiento?
@MusicAndVinyl4 жыл бұрын
Creo que cualquier distorsión puede ser apremiante. El cartucho está bien en otras grabaciones.
