The best part about this song for me is how the chorus line slowly gets decomposed into fewer bits. The missing stuff is then used later in the song. The most stunning and memorable part of this song for me is the electric guitar solo sampled from the chorus. It slaps harder than any other part of the song (and it's one of my favorite songs). I just realized today after listening to this song for it's whole released life that samples get removed from the chorus, and I'm guessing/hoping that the removed bits are what are used to create the little guitar solo. The second best part is the fakeout at around 3:02 ... you get a taste of what is to come, and if you've heard the song a thousand times like me, you expect the guitar solo, but then it isn't there.. And then when it does hit.. such a strong effect. (guitar solo is at 3:20)

'Our work is never over' Let's just treasure the fact that they made it true for 28 years Edit: if you're commenting about the 'it's HoUr aFtEr hOur, You' Re wROng' just stfu, yes everyone has different opinions but even though the official lyrics said 'hour after hour' in alive 2007 and stronger by kanye, they used it as 'our work is never over' Imagine fighting over a simple song lyrics. Yes I do love daft punk, just bc you've listened to it a thousand times it doesn't make you any better if you're being toxic in daft punk community Goldenart no matter how much you've listened to it, it doesn't make you any better for attacking people over simple matter. Have you never heard of interchangeable lyrics? Take 'Mind electric' for example, there's a line that says ' cower and prey/pray' they used it differently each times

It’s funny, because everytime I encountered a huge moment/crisis in my life, I unknowingly listen to a lot of Daft Punk songs. Back in 2013, when I was in 7th grade, and was bullied almost everyday, I find comfort in their music, in 2019, when I graduated senior, I played all of their albums many times for celebration, now in 2021, applying for a job, suddenly, they announced their departure, and I’m back to binge listening all of their albums again. In fact, Daft Punk is the only artist I know that I genuinely, I mean GENUINELY enjoy all of their songs, no matter how obscure or weird it is.

the epicness of the extreme mood shift at 2:02 has not disipated even after all these years. it's like that scene in a show where a character "stops playing around" and then unlocks their super ability and absolutely kicks ass or some shit like that the groovy part at 3:20 is like that part where the character, having unlocked their super ability, has kicked so much ass that they're basically untouchable at this point, and are just kinda fucking with their enemy/ies. this song is kinda epic
@androgynyprodigy3932 жыл бұрын
Dude this is literally me, I thought of the 'team" fighting people with this song. And they're like slowly but surely getting into the fight more and more and the fights more intense. But they're getting overwhelmed so then the main characters energy comes around and they start looking around and then they see them, walking down stairs with light with every step and then yeah idk but lmao😂

2:25-3:02 2:02 may have been the mood change for this protagonist to serious, but this is when the tables turn in his favor. edit: I think I can figure out a part of the sudden mood change. drums go from a simple rock/funky beat with the occasional ride bell to 0% extra, just kick, hi-hat and a crash that makes every 1st of 4 measures a GIFT FROM GOD. Then, at 2:41, we get a funky groove again and it goes from hard-fought battle to "I'm gonna toy with the antagonist a lil' bit for the lulz!" I can imagine some guy just dragging the antagonist's face in the dirt like they're a shovel, with some smug grin on their face, with some corny line like, "that's the last time you underestimate me, [insert antagonist name here]!

Holy mother of electronic music... I just had an epiphany. THESE GUYS ARE GENIUSES. The voice acts as a guitar on distortion in this entire song, a magical fusion between the two. If you try to play this on guitar it makes perfect sense! Structurally it's like listening to a rock song... It has a main riff, a bridge and even a solo!! Holy crap the whole idea is amazing! And how did they manage to make it sound like that? How did they combine those two? So ahead of their time...
@calebdonaldson87704 жыл бұрын
I've come to the same conclusion that Daft Punk are prodigious geniuses. They have to be! It takes a ridiculous understanding of music to craft psychologically addictive beats like these, where every note hits so perfectly. The more you think about Daft Punk, the more mind-blowing they become! 🤤
@mozahidulislam84214 жыл бұрын
He wants to tell is that daft punk took autotune to a whole new new level literally the whole electronic music industry cause: The lyrics in this doesn't serve as only lyrics like the other music but it also serves as the musical note itself......
