Daft Punk's Face to Face "Chase" Sample Discovered!

After years of exhaustive song analyzing and relistening by many people, Face to Face's infamous "chase" sample has finally been found! Which ironically resided in one of the songs that was already known for another couple of its snippets.

This song is honestly one of the best ever done by them. Let's not forget they cut all those samples in an era when editing music with computers wasn't as advanced as it is today.

they didnt even use computers for this track! according to an interview they did in 2013, they didn't use a single computer until they started making R.A.M. So homework, discovery and even human after all is just synths and drummachines + sampling and vocoders

That's why I think Todd + DP got these from straight up randomness, i.e dropping the needle down on a random point and collecting what sounded best. only about 20 samples made it to the actual track and todd said they sampled 100+ in its creation so its definitely possible.

Checkin at 1:18 A.M. I was thinking about this for the last few days. I was convinced that it hadn't been found, but seeing this, I'm happy. For me personally, it's one of the most pretty bits of the entire song and even it's sound gave off this mysterious vibe and it really gave off the aura that it was not going to get found hahaha. My point, this was really nice and I'm glad we found it :)

You know, I always thought it sounded more like "da-dancing" than "chase", and "adows su" is actually pretty close! Damn though, I really can't believe it was the same song and in the same key the whole time, this is crazy.
