I did too but got SA20 yesterday, more power for a real grip on the music with my Fyne Audio F303 floorstanders, it seems to have better separation of instruments when you turn it up. The DAC is better than SA10 also, it is on a par or close to my CDS50 SACD Network Player and I was surprised at this. I've more listening to do but I'm happy so far.

@@nocturnal1970 ESS2016 VS 2018, don't think any of us could hear a difference.... The SA20 is amazing, I just didn't need the extra power.

@@thomasward00 You mean ES9016 (SA10) vs ES9038 (SA20 and CDS50)? There is a clear difference between them hence why I never used the SA10 DAC

Just curious as well as the size of the room, if you can remember what DB level did you happen to be listening to. Also, how are you managing to power a centre channel with a stereo amp? If you please.

How did you like this combo? They say that Arcam is smooth and Wharfedale speakers can be a bit warm. So is it like an extremely warm/bassy pairing without much clarity? Comparing to other things you've listened to of course.
