All those wasted sitters!!! It was horrifying to see how physical Watford played. Echoes of Millwall brutal style. The positive side was - we struggled to break down those types of teams last year. Last night we did better, but we won't survive in the Premiership if we don't convert more of those fantastic chances we had. I did say on another channel. A scum manager once said "If you can get a win when it looked like a draw, and a draw when it looks like a loss, that makes champions"

Thanks Ger. 3 pts was all that mattered last night. Not our best performance but nice to grind out a win. That being said we missed 2 sitters that would have made the game very comfortable. Nice to see Guilavogui signing. Adds depth to two positions. Thought Hendrie had every right to be critical about our performance. It was very disjointed. Hope Ramazani injury isn’t too bad. If he’s not ready for Bristol City I’d start DJ in front of Solomon. He looked very sharp yesterday.

Zonal marking systems from set pieces will often put your smallest man on the biggest threat as a blocker to stop the run. They aren't there to compete aerially. It's to stop them getting as good a run on the ball as your bigger defenders. Giving the defenders the advantage of forward momentum when meeting the ball.

I was there last night Ger , and the step off was noticeable (thought we were in for 4 or 5 after 10mins) but as you correctly pointed out! If we weren’t so wasteful again in front of goal , it would and probably should have been 5. It’s 3pts tho , so left happy 🤷‍♂️ , tho a little confused about the very early step off the gas.

going two up in such a short time is great but they should have been well aware Watford players would be coming out after a half time roasting from the manager with a different attitude and we were not on it at all, hence the goal. However more chances to put the game out of sight squandered again is frustrating for supporters, players and manager i suspect. Good result at the end of the day and the pressure is on rivals now.

I have a feeling that after Friday and coasting into a 2-0 lead some of the players stared thinking about Saturday rather than seeing the game out. We still need leaders on the pitch to keep them going.

I believe the drop Off had two reasons after the Exit of Ramasani the Opposition found Solomon as our weak Spot For obvious reasons that also meant Firpo could't be his usual self. The other Reason in my eyes is Fatigue . The Miles that Gnonto and Aaronson are doing is crazy both defending in our own box then having to move quickly Up front to do some damage.

The thing for me about not putting teams to the sword is that, if we go 3-0 up we can potentially ease Debayo , Schmidt and Crew in to get some minutes but we never get that.

Their goal wasn’t the only time their winger ran around Firpo. They wanted to go down that side more often than not as the game progressed. Firpo has no pace, big risk of committing fouls there, we got away with it a bit but definitely deserved to win.

We weren't at our best but i will say we had several chances still to extend the lead and Watford created nothing except their goal. I never felt worried even at 2-1.

THE ONLY THING that matters is claiming the 3 points! No team in the world plays brilliantly for 90 mins per game every game - not even Man City. We may have only won by one goal but that's all it takes. And, with better finishing from both teams, we'd have won 5-2 or 6-2 (Bogle hit the post and Gnonto, Joseph and James all spurned gilt-edged chances). We're in a spell of 6 games in 3 weeks and it would be ridiculous to bust a gut to try and win 5-0 against Watford, only to be worn out on Saturday lunchtime and drop points at Bristol. You don't sprint at the start of a marathon! I for one will be more than happy with 35 more 2-1 wins. Farke knows EXACTLY what he's doing..

I thought the "worried at 2-0" comments were odd, would you not want to be 2-0 up after 7 minutes? Watford are a decent side I think but apart from their goal and a couple of set pieces (I'd expect Meslier to save that shot), they never really threatened and for me it was a deserved but nervy win. Defensively, we look solid and how did we get Tanaka for £3 million? Piroe seemed off it and Joseph was good when he came on but if Piroe is on that header Jospeh missed, it'd be 3-1. Hopefully the Ramazani injury isn't too bad but it's really good to have James and Soloman back so I think it's one we can cope with.

I can't believe some of the comments on this channel and other channels after last night. If you want to be a winner you have to be ruthless when you are on top, in any sport, or in life in general. I totally blame Farke for the drop-off, either because he told them or because he did nothing about it at the time. After the first ten minutes, we thought we were Man City and could score whenever we wanted or protect a lead and manage the game. How can we protect a lead when we have that CLOWN in goal. Their goalkeeper didn't know what hit him and we should have peppered him with shots and crosses. The game should have been finished before half-time, they would have come out trying to keep the score down and we could have given Crew and Debayo a full second half to settle them in under no pressure and maybe taken Bogle, Rodon, and Firpo off who were all one booking away from a ban.but no this clueless manager has to put players on to protect a lead, the young kids don't get on and Firpo gets booked when he should not have been put in that position. If some people think I am being harsh, that is their right, but like I said to be a winner you need to be ruthless, when your opponent is down put your foot on his throat and don't let him up. Farke needs to sort this out now because it WILL happen again this season. We are good enough to go unbeaten till the end of the season as we proved against Sheffield, but not if we continue playing like this. I watched the game on Leeds Live and even Matteo and Dallas were saying at half-time, we went 2 up and then managed the game, losers attitude.MOT

Hendrie never has a good word for Leeds. Last night he seemed to be willing Watford on against us. The Leeds performance wasn’t the best, but no way were Hendrie’s comments anything like neutral, which as a commentator they should be. I get fed up of commentators/summarisers being plainly biased instead of just talking about the match from an unbiased viewpoint. He’s the same when in the studio. The Producers at Sky need to speak to him.

I would pick Dan James before Solomon, Ger. We did miss a lot of chances, and made bad decisions. Shooting instead of crossing to people in a better position. Joel Piroe lost the ball too easily, and had bad touches when in a position to get a shot away. Overall it was an excellent result and says a lot about our determination. I would start Joseph up front instead of Piroe. I'd love to know how fit Pat Bamford really is? MOT!
