Why did you use foam and not some scrap plywood?. Thanks

The foam gave a wide support area when the plywood was bent around it. I think ply (1.5mm and .8mm) tends to show what it is bending around. At least that was my thinking, could be wrong. Plus, foam is cheap. :)
