Hey, Daggerwin! I started this map a day or so before you did. I intended to have a laid back farm because on the medium to large maps I usually do, I'm working like mad, my workers are working like mad and there is no time to enjoy a beautiful map. You do want to take the time to enjoy the sights here. I take a stroll in the evenings, and it led to a bit of a problem. I stumbled onto ten gold nuggets without even looking, and then the map was covered with them. I had to pick them all up to uncover it. Realistic or not, I'm not giving the million back! It gave me a nice start and now my money is down to a more realistic level, I still find I need to save up to buy a few more things. I look forward to your coming adventures on this one!

Hi Daggerwin Maybe it is a 'little' idea to make some little square bales. I haven't looked for a baler but I think there must be one out there already.. I think a lot off people would enjoy watching you doing that, especially as you can pick them up with hand now en you could throw them right into the little trailer you have. It would be something different and perfect fitting for this map!

When you do contracting jobs in small and medium fields you should do time lapses but in the large fields just skip the job so it doesn't get so boring :) your vids are awesome btw

Great vid Daggerwin! I'm playing Old Streams at the moment and love it! I think that a loading wagon would be a good idea, nice to use and it wouldn't break the bank! If you do choose to do it this way, I'd strongly reccommend the Mengele Garant 540/2, it's a very realistic forage wagon a little bigger (around 4000 litres bigger) than the Euroboss and has twin axles for exactly the same price, but you do have to buy spare blades (for extra realism)!

Hi Dagger, yes, Grunwald or Grünwald (the village on this map) is definitely in Germany. The road signs are all German as well. Therefore, a Claas combine or forage harvester would work well. Claas is the market leader for combines in Germany. Also a 150hp Schlüter tractor would really suit. Schlüter is a vintage and VERY respected German brand. Claas is really new, as far as tractors go, but quite popular, nowadays.

Nice video. I run a John Deere 8370R with a 16 row planter. We plant the headlands first so the planter stops at the right spot on the field.

Time lapses are good. I would have gone for the other mower though, just the rear one. Yes it doesn't cover as much, but it is easier to transport as it folds up for the small roads. And if you got frustrated with the small size you could add the front one later

I definetely don't mind the timelapses. What sticks with me in the video is the mower you used. Just with the size of the fields you have in this map, I would have used the other mowers. This New Holland mower seems to be a bit big and clunky in the smaller fields of this map.

I understand the size of the fields may hinder this but generally you would plant the headlands first and go enough times around to accommodate the full width of the sprayer this gives enough room to turn the sprayer without going into the hedge.

there might be a prob with the case and the frontloader as it has a non removeable front weight . will it get in the way of the front loader ?

David Martin for me there was no problem with the case, it's evdn a good thing that he upgraded to a more powerfull tractor, the weight does NOT get in the way.

If the permanent weight interfered with the front loader, Giants wouldn't let you add an attachment for it: not all tractors can be fitted for a front loader.

as for tractor size and age. In norway it's pretty normal to have a newer bigger loader tractor, 100-150hp. and if the farm is small, the usually keep the older ones. Where I lived (90's) they had a MF690T(it has the most characteristic Perkins turbo sound, Google it) as a loader/main tractor (3meter cultivator, 3m seeder etc) and a Ford 6610 for the other field work(5m stubble harrow, manure spreader, leveler after ploughing etc)and a old Ford 5000 (forestry. roller after seeding, and stonepicking etc.) Now today, where farmers tend to lease more land than they own the tractor sizes are big compared to the main farm size.

Great video ,beautiful map,would have sold the Case rather than the New Holland as the New Holland has a front linkage unlike the Case which only has a weigh.

I really bugs me with some of the textures on FS. The cultivated/seeded/fertilised&seeded textures are sometimes very hard to see. Are there any texture packs out there that change it?

it pretty normal to do the headlands first when seeding. do as many laps needed to turn around. where I lived as a kid,the owner used to do a 18 meter headland to be able to do a nice turn without tearing up the soil to much. In game, on old streams, i do 3 laps with the 6m vaderstad, or I go around in circles til I'm done or can put it on a worker.

the place you put the loader right next to it is a gate and then drive strate up and thares the shop.if you go to misc get the roller and do a strip or 2 at the out side the gate that goes strate to the shop
