Hi daggerwin, Sorry mate, I'm getting old (although not as often as I would like!!...), I must have pressed the wrong button - as they say. Hope I have corrected this situation now though. Once again, let me say how from scanning around I simply stumbling onto your initial farm simulator 2015 (incidentally what happened after episode 12 all of it ended there ie no 13 onwards and I was so waiting for you to get and use the Baler you had spoken about through about 3 episodes and the series ended?). However, I did follow it with Sandy Bay series of yours up to Episode 10 so far. Keep going mate, your series (ALL OF THEM) are so hypnotic, I really enjoy them - you are very professional!!

With turning right at a red traffic light, it seems that you have to come to a complete stop first then when clear you may proceed. Also a suggestion, when you pick a quick job you should try and checkout any near by towns that are enroute to your location. this will reveal any dealership and recruiting agencies for when you purchase your first vehicle, also when travelling between towns you have already visited you should try and pick roads that you have not travelled on yet.

dagger , when you press F3 you can adjust the GPS to be transparent. so you can still see how much distance you need to cover and the notifications, without the gps blocking a section of your screen.

Most trailers in the US are 53' long. Add the length of a conventional tractor and that is a long truck.

Yeah it's pretty interesting to see some parts of American that you may have never seen before. There are so many places I haven't been yet because of where I live, so playing ATS is a cool way of exploring the states.

The law on turn right on red is that you must still stop and then proceed if safe to do so, the way you said it it sounds like you plan to just run the light without stopping at all. Not sure if ATS will fine you for that but you certainly would get fined in real life if you did not stop first.

The reason why there are two axles under the trailer instead of three like in Europe is that the American weight limit is 80,000 lbs on most roads while the weight limit in Europe is around 90,000lbs

InAmerica, you have to stop at red lights no matter what. If you are turning right you must stop, look, and if no one is coming you can go.

I have been following the chatter re stopping and then turning right on red lights. It is my understanding, as well, you can proceed after stopping if there is no one coming. So, I tried it and got cited (in the game, of course). So I guess in this case everyone is right. Checking the Oregon Revised Statues (Oregon traffic laws), I find mention of turning if the roadway you are turning onto is a one way road. I also recall at one time, although I am not sure if it is still true, you could make a left turn onto a roadway where the traffic is only travelling in that direction after a stop. In other words, if it is a one way road, with traffic going from your right to your left, you could stop, then go, even on a red if nothing is coming. This was discussed in a traffic law class I took about 20 years ago. I'd be interested if anyone has experience in the area you live, or want to look it up for your area. Sounds like asking for a ticket, but the Oregon Administrative Rules we were issued "back then" could be interpreted that way, which is just another law book used to further explain the traffic laws. Not trying to make a point, just testing the water to see if anyone has any real experience. I was a cop for 20 years and drove trucks during the off times, and developed some pretty negative ideas about departments using tickets for increasing municipal revenue, and not traffic safety.

as a truck driver one thing i have noticed in the game is that these loads would NEVER be tied down with straps but with chains only, in the states chains only unless much smaller cargo than we carry in the game

Daggerwin a freeway is like and interstate wear as a highway is a smaller road that still can traverse the same distance. A good example is route 66 which is a highway. where as I70 a.k.a interstate 70 is a freeway... p.s. keep up the good work love your vidoes. wish i had a pc to play the games you do but unfortunately i am stuck on console.

just so you know you have right to come on a highway/motorway and the traffic goes into the lane at the side when you start to pull on however the other cars aren't modified to do so

While traffic should, as a matter of courtesy, move over to allow traffic entering the highway room to merge, entering traffic is still to yield right-of-way to existing traffic. Also, in reality, the on-ramps and merging lanes would be much longer than what we see in-game, allowing more time and space for merging traffic to accelerate and find room to merge. As an example, Michigan state law states "Motorists shall yield the right-of-way to existing traffic and adjust their speed accordingly." At least in Michigan, and probably in most states as well, right-of-way belongs to existing traffic, not merging traffic. That said, it's common courtesy to make room, when safe to do so, for merging traffic to enter the traffic lanes. it's also safer, as giving room for merging traffic to enter unencumbered by other drivers reduces the risk of collision at what are statistically the most dangerous parts of our highway systems. Also, when existing drivers speed up or slow down at merges, oncoming traffic is forced to make adjustments to unexpected changes in traffic conditions. This is why driving instructors also teach drivers to maintain a safe, consistent speed at merges. In summary, law requires merging motorists to yield the right-of-way to existing highway traffic , but nothing in the law prevents polite behavior.

LOL, No. But most state's interstate and highway laws mirror each other. A quick search for California merging laws confirms that the CA DMV teaches drivers that existing drivers have right-of-way, although California code states that NEITHER have right-of-way, and it's up to the drivers to work it out. So, in CA, the merging driver does NOT have right-of-way, but neither do they have to yield it to existing drivers. Go figure.

Hi Daggerwin as far as i know in the UK the legal length for a truck trailer is 12 or 15 meters. maybe it is different in america. also how do you change the sensitivity on the saitek so it is more sensitive. it would be great and helpful if you could reply
