It is still around!!! There are no songs you cannot find easily on KZbin for free. Just type in what you want to hear on "SEARCH". I am a Fan also of older country music. That music they call " new country" that omits Steel guitars, banjos & Violins is AN EXCUSE FOR COUNTRY MUSIC! I detest it!!!! The ONLY REASON "they" would have done that is M-O-N-E-Y!!! What a crying Shame!!!!!! I have a word for "them" but I'm too much of a lady to say it!!!!

This song now makes me think about my previous daddy and mother. My daddy has dementia and can no longer “Remember When” . I scanned photos from their first date in 1959 to present. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary last December. We played the slide show while they danced the first dance. My daddy didn’t know where he was but somehow the photos moved him and he talked about it for nearly a week. Music is so powerful. Thank you Alan Jackson for writing this song and recording it for us to include in celebrating my parents life together. Did I mention. Momma was 16 and daddy was 19 when they married.

My wife and I celebrate our 37th year of marriage in sept. 2021, I've made it hard on her at times but we have made it thankful for it all.

Every couple comes to a time - usually more than once - where it would be easy to say, "forget it" and bail on the marriage. But understanding that the marriage is more important than the issues, brings you to a place where the relationship not only doesn't fail, but it transcends to a different level. Yes, pre-high school sweetheart (she was 12, I was 13 when we first became a couple) and 3 daughters. 42 years. She is my only and I am her only (and I wouldn't have it any other way).

My wife and I were sixteen and eighteen when we wed over forty-four years ago. A lot has passed us by in that time; four children, including twin boys; scary surgeries, the loss of our parents, and one of those much too young, the blessing of grandchildren, retirement... When we listen to this wonderful song we both shed tears.

I lost my BEST friend on May 4th at.5:45am holding his hand. Early that evening he whispered to me I love you Ray. He would tell every body that I was his brother from another mother. Got Strang looks since I was older than him. Miss him , he would call me. One time he called me at 4;00 in the morning. Three o'clock his time. We spoke for over an hour. He just needed to talk. I was there for him as he would was there for me.

Remember when I was young and so were you And time stood still and love was all we knew You were the first, so was I We made love and then you cried Remember when Remember when we vowed the vows and walked the walk Gave our hearts, made the start, it was hard We lived and learned, life threw curves There was joy, there was hurt Remember when Remember when old ones died and new were born And life was changed, disassembled, rearranged We came together, fell apart And broke each other's hearts Remember when Remember when the sound of little feet Was the music we danced to week to week Brought back the love, we found trust Vowed we'd never give it up Remember when Remember when thirty seemed so old Now lookin' back, it's just a steppin' stone To where we are, where we've been Said we'd do it all again Remember when Remember when we said when we turned gray When the children grow up and move away We won't be sad, we'll be glad For all the life we've had And we'll remember when Remember when Remember when
