Props to all of you for establishing your right to have your own rightful chance to honor the waves of Hawaii. I was born and raised in Kauai until my late teens. Then moved to Oregon, but still go back to my island almost every year. I'm of Quapa native American decent, and value cultural identity and most of all native rights. Mahalo for your vlog. Your old man is on point. Big companies and a lot of surfers need to recognize where it all started and indigenous surfers need to educate those who paddle out, but also themselves about where our tupuna first laid claim, and be kaitiaki of it all.🤙

Kelee Bovelle To be honest with all of you, there is ha’ole hatred underneath that aloha. It is all simmering underneath locals’, especially those Mokes, surfaces. I get it, but, I still think that everyone should come much more REAL, and not eternally demonise the ha’oles.
@sirij87845 жыл бұрын
Why yes, I fart Rainbows! The only haoles that get demonized that the ones that don't show respect or bring the mainland mentality to Hawaii. You have to be super respectful and super aware when you're here. The people that don't usually have bad experiences. You can't act like how you were raised
@SuiGenerisAbbie5 жыл бұрын
@@sirij8784 Mmmmm, yes and no. Yes, and no. That is, I have seen harmless people treated rudely, and over-heard enough native Hawai'ians bad-mouthing Haoles who were just respectful and such, to them! See, it allll goes back to ancestral memory. Haole-hatred gets imbued in many of the locals and natives from what THEIR relatives and parents told them, and/or how there were taught by teachers and such. People think much like their own kind, who came before them, think. Oh, I'm not saying that my own are angels, and/or that we Ha'oles are never dick-heads, but, I have also seen such simmering anti-Ha;ole sentiment linger longer than it needs to, as well.

I highly recommend the diet adjustment, we've been doing a comprehensive elimination diet, and so far the finding that has unified what works for us and what doesn't, is focusing on foods that are native for your genes. In our case, this meant realizing that basically all commonly available vegetables (other than tomatoes, tomatillos, and peppers), spices (except for alliums, and chiles), cereal grains (other than corn), and meat (other than local game like venison, bison, and birds) are eurasian in origin.Coffee is also an import. I'm assuming you have a fair amount of Hawaiian heritage here, but if you eat like your ancestors before the arrival of the howlie, and burn one down, I bet you would find your health improve, as would your already considerable muscle definition.
