One of Gainax’s first films. Essentially a fan film by what’s now one of the most infamous mainstream anime studios out there.

What an AMAZING job they did! Although the kaiju looks like it's from "Goranger" days, the rest is pure early 1980's Sentai (c. Denziman thru Dynaman)! I love the relatively recent trend of independent gotochi / "local heroes", but this seems even more ambitious somehow! I only wish the 16mm film, to VHS, to low 260 mpeg, transfer quality was better, but it's still great to see! The shot of Expo 70's "Tower of the Sun" by Taro Okamoto, means this was made in Osaka so maybe it IS the first true gotochi show! Really fun!
Wow! Great amateur effort! Must’ve been expensive. Done on film (not video), the editing, post production audio, the special visual effects and costumes. As what appears to be about a 3 man production company, this certainly took along time to make and cost the person who paid for it all a lot. Amazing results if you think about how 100 % analog this is. Since it appears to be around 1975 (Osaka Expo land was not yet Panpaku Koen). Great work!
