I don't get why people say Akuma is good in sfV. I can play Laura, Ibuki, Kolin, Poison, Ed at gold rank but can't win a single match with Akuma. I feel like I'd go back to bronze if I kept playing him. And playing vs Akuma doesn't bother me at all, I fear Ryu way more. I'm not playing the same game as you guys, really. But again, my internet is from another era (early 2000's). Edit : Daigo has strong fondamentals to make up for his lack of combos, any character he'd play would feel strong in his hands. Look at the number of mistakes and drops, he still manages to get a win, it's insane. I'd get double perfected by any of his opponents I'm sure.

It's called "PRIDE". He himself recommend tokido to take akuma as his main, even when we all already know what Daigo capable of if he main akuma. Just look at SF4, if he can beat akuma pro player with Ryu, and play really good with Evil Ryu, what makes you think he cannot run rampage with Akuma? Daigo just doesn't want to take the easy route.. He is the FT10 King!

Yeah you can do st.mk xx VS1 kick xx demon flip punch. Or you can do st.mk xx VS1 kick xx L.Tatsu>H.Tatsu for a crossup combo. That's good for when you're in the corner and wanna escape

For being a basic combo, it's actually pretty hard execution if you're an amateur at fighting games. I would recommend doing the VS1+k into flip first and then do st mk to VS1+k into flip. If I remember right for after VS1+k, the flip version is for oki+corner carry, heavy dp is for damage, and heavy tatsu is for full corner carry. The options are there for if you get good enough to figure out which one to use.

Just quickly press any punch / kick after you hit the ground. You can go to Challenge mode and check Demonstration to see the explanation.

You can tell Daigo is loving using Akuma air fireballs, wished Capcom made Kage better, I much prefer Daigo using Kage, but I can understand why a player like Todido uses Akuma because he is such a strong character with little weakness.

Daigo said in a previous video that "Kage's not so bad, but he doesn't have anything to get in, he's dangerous to use". Now with Akuma, he got normal hadouken, air fireballs and asura senku for mobility. His Akuma will be insane by the end of this arc, if it ever ends... XD
