An utter master at his craft. People continually try to write of Daigo but he always proves people wrong. It isn't about one loss, it's how you respond and learn that matters. Daigo is the greatest fighting game player ever.
Daigo when he wins -_- Daigo when he loses -_- Daigo -_-

Diago is the only Ryu player I've ever seen who just walks forward and beats you down. The shit he gets away with because it's so unexpected is absolutely crazy.
I think he is gifted... He did won most of his titles at an earlier age .....and there's also the hard work...and that's what makes him be from gifted to Beast.
@mikebalegend2111 жыл бұрын
Daigo's personality is perfectly represented by Ryu. Every lose that daigo experiences is just a learning experience for him, you can say the reason daigo lost Evo 2013 was because his didn't care about the title, instead he is trying to learn and adapt. Daigo has won Evo 2010 and 2011, to him it's already not that special, like I said it's just a title.
Laughing at people who think Infiltration wasn't playing his best or didn't "care" about the match. He knew this was a big time exihibtion and that it would be all over the gaming media. He just got a taste of The Beast.

Like a warrior daigo is humble about being a champion, all he is focused on is to train and become better than he was yesterday. He is not interested on the labels and titles. All he wants is to fight worthy opponents with great technology, so that he can bring his gameplay to a transcending level. Daigo has revolutionized the way someone could ever use Ryu. A lot of people think Ryu is a weak character, but it's the player who is weak not the character.

There were couple other times they played eachother, but it was before infiltration leveled up, and daigo rolled him every time. I think daigo just had a hard time downloading one top player after another, but when given time to prepare for 1 specific player. I guess he had a much better time.

People who say inf was not at his best are correct. He broke, not sure when, but he did. He said he fought diago or watched him and he was worried. Besides that, the pressure must of been immense. that game was, in the publics eye, the deciding factor in determining who was top dog. For daigo it was everything, confirmation of his status, proof he's following the correct path. I still think daigo is the better player but that inf was cracked.

Amazing play by both contestants. Daigo really played amazingly well, here. He really done his homework. If anything is to be learned by this it's that Street Fighter isn't a game where the better player necessarily wins over 2 or 3 short games. The better player is someone who studies his opponent and overcomes them by exploiting his opponent's weakness. This was a war of attrition. Daigo wore Infiltration down by giving away very little, and making the most of what was available.

One HUGE difference in this set vs 25th and Evo...head to head setup. Infiltration can't get any insights into Daigo's inputs by listening or peripheral vision. He can only go by what's happening onscreen (best way IMO).
See, if ryu gets any kind of buff in ultra, he instantly becomes evo champion material all over again. You don't need vortexs to be a beast character

Xian won Evo 2013, but then he was too cocky and that's why he got blown up by daigo on TGS 10-0. You can say daigo was holding back all along, waiting for the time to show that you don't have to be this years champion to be called the beast or now maybe a god. Daigo is the epitome of a warrior, flaking on any challenge and if he loses he learns and adapts. He didn't know how to fight gen at first, but now he will never ever lose to a gen player ever again. Gen has been downloaded.

Even though this is an exhibition and people say infiltration wasn't playing his best. Then you guys are just simply ignorant to the fact that people let it be tournament or not would not want to lose. Especially to daigo umehara the beast so please just accept the fact that daigo is the best street fighter player ever.

I disagree with counting rounds. However, it must be said that determining who is "better" at a double elimination tournament is wrong. Determining who is better by the use of FT10 (or more) is more accurate. Regardless of Daigo vs Infiltration since EVO 2012, this exhibition has a better picture of who the better player is.
