Daihatsu Mira trxx turbo's rusty crusty windscreen frame surround sorted today plus more!

The crusty area on the windscreen surround is sorted today on the little Mira.Plus...some new bits have turned up, Oh and we try tinting the chassis paint a bit darker.

Great repairs and I do think the paint looks better darker. I probably would have gone a bit more but as you said, it’s not generally going to be seen.

The original looks to have a slight blue tint to it, or that could be my bad eyesight 😂 Doing a cracking job and it’s great that you are doing all this with all readily available equipment that an ordinary person can purchase. Can’t wait for the next upload of this and the beetle.

@@chrispybee I think you are right, it's not your eyes! 👀 Originally I think the coating is some kind of grey epoxy primer but I wanted to treat the area with a super hard wearing alternative. It's great starting out with bare minimum easy to obtain tools as it's something that a lot of people can try themselves at home.
