Daihatsu Rocky: Will it run?

Today we get stuck in to our 1985 Daihatsu Rocky 2l petrol.
We brought this car months ago and haven't touched it till today, now is the time to see if we brought a diamond or a lemon.

I might have been one of those yelling at the screen to check for coil power during run mode. Had the same problem when seeing if a Corvair I was thinking of buying would run. It did on a jumper wire and I bought it!

A quick check in regards to fuel with a carburetor pump the accelerator on and off while looking down it and see if it’s spraying fuel into the engine and if there isn’t any either the accelerator pump circuit isn’t working or you have no fuel in the carburetor

Diahatsu with a Toyota petrol motor interesting 🤔 they had great little diesel engines in them slow but could go anywhere tho

I had a Feroza 'wide body' for a while but it was too small for my needs. Solid little bugger, though. Oh, 'wide body was a bit of a misnomer really. The axles were widened and then they slapped a set of flares on them. They were not as prone to falling over as the standard Rockys were.

If you take the top off and don't want to permanently mutilate your tailgate, Feroza tailgates fit with removable glass.

Ha mate cold start. ? Pull plugs. Put oil before trying to turn the motor. Stater failing. Why you don't have a 10 litre drum with a eltrontic pump. Did you you fill the bowl. No. Pore stater motor. Please change the oil. Mmmm I know you have alot on your plate. So relax mate. Less issues. Take care my friend. )
