Purchased: August 2023 - still works GREAT!I kzbin.infoUgkxxsUnXhGsSJLim_XnMHyQK0u3XVaW-CGn live in a studio and during the summer it gets scorching hot - really old building with no ac units. I can’t express how EASY it was to install. This unit has been a life savior during the summer and some days during other seasons where it can still be a bit warm at night. In this small place is my friend, a husky, poodle mix and myself. We need AC - lolI don’t use the dehumidifier option - I’m not sure if it will leak in my house, since I did not install the small draining hose that came with it. May look into it late but I don’t worry about much humidity in the apartment. I don’t understand why the negative reviews since all things mentioned, I personally did not find issues with. Definitely worth it!

Hey Keith. I also need the supply and return fittings in the video, specifically the 3 duct supply fitting and the 10" return fitting. What can I tell my local JS so they know exactly what I need?

Any reason why this unit would not work well in a conditioned crawl space?

can you place one of these handlers in a crawl space, or must it be placed in the attic?
@indoorcomfortequipment86352 жыл бұрын
Yes it can be placed there. Make sure to check your local residential HVAC building codes.

3 8" supply runs at (.1) static equals 750 cfm or 12" round. that 1-10" would not be sufficient

Does Johnstone carry supply and return fittings for Fujitsu ducted mini splits?
@banejovan58587 жыл бұрын
Hello.I am interested in ducted system for may home and I also have 4 chimneys, I can use as a ducts lines. Diameter of chimneys is about 4 inches, and I will try to split one duct from indoor unit in two, because i have 8 smaller rooms to cover. I also saw on some forums, that the diameter of one duct in the unit is about 8 inches. Is this allowed to do without affecting the appliance? Thanks for great video.

Keith, great video! I've called my local Johnstone Dupply to purchase this unit and the transition fittings. They tell me they cannot get those supply and return fittings. Any help you can give me, such as part # and or a contact phone # would be extremely helpful. Thanks!

I've forwarded this to the Johnstone Supply I filmed this video at. Hopefully, they will be able to help you.

I am very disappointed in the research iv Done into mini splits. This air handler takes up so much space its impractical to put it anywhere except a attic or a crawl space, which makes it a nightmare to work on if something goes wrong, also what about heat strips? Whats the point of building these things if they cant actually heat your home when its under 30 degrees?

What are your findings? Have you looked into Hyper Heat and XLTH (or similar) models?
