I do this the same way! I use playdoh for the stamps instead of the inkpads. The kiddos stamp their words in playdoh. It works super well and no mess...

My son is going into first grade this year and my daughter will be in 5th. We will also be homeschooling this year. I love these ideas and the fact these can be altered for any grade level. Makes it a lot easier for lesson planning for both of them too.

I love all the word work options, but my favorite is Scrabble words because it incorporates Math. Due to Covid this year, I have not done as many hands-on word work activities. I am hoping things will be different in fall of 2021. Thanks for a great video! I love the organization of the supplies, too!

Hi Michele, I have a couple of burning questions for you! 1. Are the words they use for word work their spelling words for each week? 2. This is a random question.. but you talked about YOUR second grade teacher having a wall of hats, I was wondering if you could explain what he used them for. I have so many hats and I would like to utilize them in my classroom for something fun!! And they seem to make a big impression on you!

Hey, where do you put all the kids word work papers? I am considering to get an a4 size notebook and glue these sheets in. Maybe you have or someone has a better idea. I also want to have a notebook for sentences. I teach ELL students, so they need things done a bit differently and with a ton of support, as they mostly cannot read, and if they can, sometimes do not understand. Grade 1.

Hello, I’m a teacher from Belgium. Love watching your videos. I was wondering how you explain everything at the beginning of the year? Do you explain every exercise separately and let them begin after? Do you start with one exercise for the whole class? …? In your previous video you explained your “display” with the timer. Love this. I was wondering how you made it. If I buy it in your ttp store can I incorporate it in other documents? Thanks for all the tips and tricks! Katrien
