My husband and I have 5 cats and 2 dogs. It's a blessing, but it comes with its challenges and a lot of responsibilities. Taking proper care of them, giving them attention while keeping a spotless home is a huge part of my day. But the love I give them, they return it to me multiplied x 1000 so it's definitely worth it ❤

The most cat i have is 28. Now just 16. Viral infections are number 1 killer. I am lazy but bec of them i am forced to clean all the time. So its a blessing too.

I have 3 and contemplating on bringing in 2 more a little later in life. They’re definitely worth all the time and effort but I will say for the two I’ve raised since kittens it’s a lot easier than my recently adopted 2 year old . She’s sweet but not consistent with her litter box and just the cutest idk. I think if I were to add more I’d adopt kittens again. It’s also taught me that I’m not the dog person I thought I was. I could live with cats for the rest of my life happily

Great video, and good for showing the realities of being a cat mum! First check of the day often hairball duty 🤣 so accurate! the handheld vacuum is def a must! Play time can really be a workout for mum (I only have one cat and play time tires me out!). 10/10 cat carer!

What an awesome cat mom!! I’m currently the guardian of 2 kittens and it can feel overwhelming. Especially when they go into needy mode, i feel I’m always tired 🥱 anticipating their needs. Do you ever feel you need a break from your kitties?

Not at all! Reason being is our workflow is very optimized and it is very efficient for everything. I get to take care of my stuff, take care of them, take care of myself, and get to juggle my work and do my YT stuff daily. I have been doing it for years - I feel great and have lots of free time! Good on ya! Kittens can be overwhelming but easier as they got a mate. They will calm down a bit when they reach 1-1.5 years old usually ~ If they are needy it means they got too much energy they need more play time. Interactive toys, more toys and playing w them to tire them out helps. They R curious and are a ball of energy at the young age they are at now, support!

I appreciate this video I have 6 cats and I work 84 hrs every other week and 100 hrs on the other weeks. I come home and feel it is so much work plus to give them all attention. I just read that you should have 2 litter boxes per cat. I’m sorry I can’t have 12 litter boxes.

@@MeloCat yes on a litter box I just bought at Walmart by vibrant life it says on label Vet recommends 2 boxes per 1 cat. I really think that is too many. I do not have 7 boxes. I have 3 .. 2 enter top and one extra large reg style. I scoop them 2 times a day and my cats seem fine. I guess they aren’t high maintenance. 😹. Actually they are.

I had one cat before the pandemic, and now have 5. There's lots of of strays in my area. They are all very cute and attached to us, but I have serious regrets because I don't know how much longer I can live like this. It's definitely my fault, and I'm not going to abandon them, don't worry. I also can't give them to family unfortunately.

I have 8 cats with one cat who broke out my crappy window and got pregnant just before her spaying appointment so guess I'm having more cats..one thing I'm bad at is trying to brush their teeth ugh it'd such a struggle..I am lucky with very rare cats throwing up though I brush every couple days to a week..soon as I notice the fur on the floor and with brown carpet it shows quickly

I have 11 cats, love them all, getting a bit difficult with them always asking for food. You know how it can go....it takes only one to start. As soon as they hear a dish they, or my Simba, thinks that there will be food. Any tips? I know that they are not hungry. I live in Latvia and in a county area, they get to go outside and run and be normal cats, but it's getting stressful with the food, when I just sit they are calm, but once I need to do some things they start to again think that I will give them food. I give them food twice a day, and it is enough. I have 7 kittens, and they are an issue with this. My grown-up cats are not bad at all.

Have you considered an automatic feeder for the times when you're not home, small meals throughout the day can be quite nice ~

@@MeloCat I just feel like they would always eat and eat and become fat. (talking only about my 7 kittens born in April and May) some of my kittens go beyond their limit. I don't know how the feeder acutely works? I have to take three cats away from the dish they share, because they eat way too fast. Eventually I will have to separate them, because one eats too much and the other does not have enough. I have everything very simple, because it's a lot since I also have a dog. I have a lot on my plate because it is only me always. But no matter what I love them all so much, I want to create cat therapy eventually for people with nerve problems. I have been very loving with them so that they are great therapy cats. But I think somewhere between all of this they saw an opportunity to be kind of spoiled or not sure of the correct word here.

I just make sure the litter I use is suitable and I scoop often and wash the litter boxes every week. There's nothing to mask, I don't even use scented litter. If the litter is doing its job and I scoop often, no smell is the default~

Real fights ? Maybe less than 3-4 times ever and even that was triggered from external stress outside the window and someone displaced it onto someone else

For me we can actually reach out to the balcony and hand the cats to the next flat if needed. We have 4 pet bags that can hold 3-4 cats in each, in Hong Kong our average fire truck ladder can reach about 18-20 floors. So we basically lived in places that are no higher than that, so if something happens I can hand the cats to the fire department when they reach up. I can also carry 2-3 on myself in a pet backpack on my way out. So basically worse comes to worse, hand over 2 bags, and I carry one and exit via my window when they come. Clicker training your cats to have a fire drill helps too, so you can grab them as fast as possible~
