@@uknowbts6148 Nothing, just colours and water if you paint in acrylic. Acrylic dries very fast. If you paint in oil, you can wetten the canvas with terpentine first for brushes to go smoothely; but you don't necessary have to...

Yes, I agree with you the flowers look more like lupins & the pink colour too. Lavender has purple and smaller flowers. But the painting is still beautiful!

I thought the same thing. Lavender doesn't look like that at all, the leaves are completely different. There are some cultivars that are pink colour but to me it doesn't look like a lavender. I looks more like lupins

I love trying his technique. I have to say although I don't end up with an exact copy, that is ok because you aren't supposed to, so why try? We each are unique and that should come through in our art. Even if you are just starting out.
