I know exactly what this is like. I grew up in the church, never payed super close attention though and was a lukewarm Christian at best. About a year ago I went through a spiritual crisis where I really started to question a bunch of stuff, but I realize now that feeling so afraid and being attacked pushed me right toward learning more about God and the true meaning of salvation, fellowship, and more. Its led me to pray much more frequently, become more involved with the word, and really pay attention in church. I’m happy to say that next week I’m going to baptized, and I’ve realized that these trial and torments have really pushed me to develop my personal relationship with Christ and push me to this point
