Bennet did not get worse or fall off. We just have more options now. Hoyo didn't nerf his buff or stop releasing ATK scalers, and they haven't even released a character that gives the amount of ATK that he gives. There were a ton of ATK scalers released in Fontaine, and even Alhaitham and Nahida can somewhat use him. Having more options does not make character worse.

He means worse in the same way that freeze teams got “worse” or venti got “worse”. Yes they do the same thing as theyve done before but the content around them have made it not as universal to use. Bennett is no longer as essential to abyss clears as he previously was. Dont take things so literally

@@Khangst that's a terrible comparison, freeze and venti are borderline unusable in most abyss lineups, bennett teams have only gotten stronger overtime with the release of new atk scalers. Bennett is BIS in more teams now than ever, those teams represent a smaller perentage of overall teams though.

@@vorpal1174 apples and oranges. Obviously there are gonna be more characters that scale off of attack as the game progresses. But he isnt as necessary to clear as he used to be. You’re not disproving any of my points here. Its a matter of perspective that if a character is less essential to clearing the endgame, they’re not as valuable as they used to be, ergo they’re worse. But sure, lets continue to argue semantics, i’m sure that’ll have a decisive conclusion

0:21 I’m not sure if he’s just referring to the top meta units when he says “only Arlecchino”, but if he isn’t then he’s ignoring Lyney, Wriothesley, Navia, and Gaming (as well as, like he said, Arlecchino) as DPS’s released in the 4.x cycle that really want Bennett. In addition, depending on the team you end up running Bennett as the healer in Furina teams (I.e Kleerina). And is used to both enable pyro plunge comps on most units via his C6 as well as buff the plunger in said comps. He may mot be the top dog anymore but he’s still very relevant today.

Clorinde also works well with bennett. Freminet, emilie and chevreuse also synergize very well with bennett. And most likely, some future natlan characters will as well

Calling Bennett fell off is straight up stupid when he's the best 4 star in the game and more than half DPS's in the game wants him in their team. If anything is xq that fell off, you can see most of abyss run channel video rarely using him anymore and even zyox and zaj whom i constantly watching rarely using him anymore.

@@astroh4936 using two of the most ubiquitous chars in the game to do the dmg dmg as aloy freeze makes it dogshit, part of the power budget that makes them so good is them being offfield allowing u to play a char onfield who typically have higher power budgets, just to play another offield char, but even ignoring opportunity cost being an argument the team does like actually 0 dmg anyway

@@solloel hyperboles like "aloy freeze damage" are just not reflecting reality since the team sheets more than 60k dps. If your point is that Furina and Yelan are better used in other teams, sure, but that doesn't make the team trash. Kokomi is on field in the team btw

@@astroh4936 60k is literally worse than hyperbloom (altho bloom tends to get a little overvalued in some configs) and yea kok who has alot of her value being an offield hydro aplicator, in a team that doesnt care about hydro aplication and has her onfield, same w yelan. one of the best parts about hydro is how good the reactions are T.T

Hard truth Dori is basically Bennett but energy, both bursts apply their own respective elements to the on field character, both bursts are area restrictive, both bursts heal while also providing something extra (atk/energy) so technically for characters that need energy more than attack, Dori is good. Dori mains rise up.
