This is one of the most raw Japanese car culture I've ever seen on internet and hopefully I'd be able to experience this in real life someday when I get there. This video really shows what true passion and dedication is. No hype, no clout chasing, no brag & rights, just pure joy and connectivity between you and the machine. It really engages you to drive with confidence and put a genuine smile on your face as an enthusiast. It's not always about chasing for a high power or speeds, it's all about enjoying its prime state of the car itself, experiencing its raw authentic vibe, it connects you to its era. Thank you for posting this, Larry!! This is so beautiful!!! It's so inspiring, refreshing, and enjoying to watch a content like this!!! And also, it shows that you don't need a car or a fancy car in order to be a car enthusiast but rather, you just need a real love and appreciation and that is enough to consider yourself as one enthusiast!! When you're passionate about your thing, you'll eventually learn and figure it out!!! This thing is a form of our expression as an individual!!! Well done!!!

I've been an avid reader on speedhunters since its early years. Way before I could put a face on the names that were responsible on bringing everyone online the joy and inspiration of Japanese carcilture. Thanks Dino, Lary and everyone in Speedhunters for many years of you guys sharing your car culture passion!!!

I appreciate the “raw” unscripted visits. It gives the viewer a truer experience versus the setup videos from other KZbinrs channels, which I enjoy but this video is by the best one from Japan I’ve seen. It represents a grass roots side of the Japanese car culture in my opinion.

If you're talking about spoilers on spoilers look at the 80s Porsche's from Rinspeed, bbi, Sbarro , Kreme etc. Pajero Evo rare vehicle , you should get one Chen San. We had the pajero but sold as a Shogun Evo and it was ordered via Mitsubishi Motors, we had that huge long roof too.

15:31 - The Legnum was the wagon version of the Galant, and was available with all of the sedan's powertrains, including the 2.5L twin-turbo 6A1 V6 and AWD in that Super VR-4. Heck, if you guys had spotted a Legacy GT-B this video would have hit the late-'90s JDM hot wagon trifecta!

Love these videos. I've lived in Japan for a couple years and still discovering the endless car culture here. Were you at Daikoku PA on weekend during the day or was this during the week? I am not far from Yokohama and have driven the Bayshore route (Wangan) many times when picking up or dropping off folks at Haneda and sometimes from Narita with traffic to avoid the mess on the Tomei. Totally agree with the comment about "raw" car culture. You don't have to be at the extremes to enjoy it here. I am a "import" guy that has owned BMWs and Minis but appreciate the passion that folks have here for literally anything on four wheels or two. Japanese car culture is probably the most common way folks express individuality here within a society that is very conformist.

I'm an old guy now. I was part of the culture that started lowering and fixing up Japanese 4 bangers in the mid-70s. This was the switch from big V8 muscle cars as a by-product of the gas rationing during the early 70s. There was a time when you could only buy gas on days whether your license plate ended in an even or odd number. During those times I owned a 510,710, Celica, and a Capri, ahh those were fun days. Question, to all you JDM guys, I thought I heard on a video that there is a company out there somewhere that will take a right-hand drive say R34 and convert it into a left-hand drive, is this true?

A true 400r came up for sale on Craigslist of all things localy. It was asking 49,999 for the car and it had just been imported. Needless to say i tried to convince my uncle with no kids why this was a business deal not a car. He said no way and i was only 22 so i missed that opportunity.
