(I am replying to the main comment, she/he is saying that is helping thousand of people for free, which is not correct since Jacob is getting money from the ads, at the end, those ads are wasting my time, so this is not free, I am paying while I spent my time watching some ads.) I used to have a very strong head voice when i focused more on my head voice more and disregarded my chest voice in the past, but then i started to focus on my chest voice, then suddenly my head voice got weak. I practiced head voice for a week.. now my head voice is powerful and fat, now I'm able to mix easily. So technically it means that your head voice should be fat enough to mix with higher chest voice(This is advised by many vocal coach and also worked for me having weak chest voice)

When I was in high school my singing teacher was very supportive of another in the class who was singing like kermit the frog. It worried me because she was supportive of me and I suspected I sounded bad. We sang a performance, I saw a lady wiping tears afterward, wasn’t sure what to make of it. Maybe we could have been inspiring or something... Hahaha, my cousin heard us sing from a different room and asked my sister, What is that sound?! Sister questioned back the frog? Cousin replied no, I know that one, who is the dying giraffe? My sister waited until the end of the year to tell me that was what I really sounded like. So cruel...teachers and classmates encouraging me all year. I had no clue-so harsh, but so funny. Ive been working on that fixing that lol.

I don't know who needs to know this but vocal cool downs are important. They help ease tension and calm the musucles in your throat. So if you're trying to do anything with your voice i just reccomend a 5 min vocal cool down afterwards. I remember when i was doing this excersise for the first time 5ish months ago and my voice was dying since I never was able to hit high notes. I retried this and a vocal cool down helped so much, I didn't even feel tense at all the next day.Oh also never strain your voice, it should never hurt while singing, if it starts hurting dont start trying to go higher because it might damage your vocal cords.

Day 1: it doesn’t hurt too bad but I’m hoping working on these will strengthen my chest and head voice then lead to my mixed voice Day 2: successful 🎶 slowly getting better. i’ve been practicing singing prior to coming Day 3: practicing more Day 4: still straining on some notes but that’s just my vocal chords stretching Day 5: had to wait for a little bit due to covid didn’t want to damage my vocal chords but so far so great head voice is starting to be a little more profound

I think my Chest voice is strong(kind of). But no head voice. So in higher notes I tend to sing in chest which is harder than using a head.i can't switch to head from a strong and loud chest too.hoping to develop the head. Then later to mixed.

everyone is saying “ignore your neighbours”… why are y’all thinking about neighbours, your head voice is supposed to be moderately loud. Don’t damage your vocals and scream just to hit a warm up note. It’s a warm up.

i have a more adele sort of voice and struggle to reach some of these notes so do you have any tips on reaching those higher notes?
@vidatalab8301
@vidatalab8301 5 жыл бұрын
I don’t know if you’ve heard of “the mask” but it’s the space behind your nose that helps higher notes resonate. If you’re struggling with higher notes, exercises like the no one here, or another one that uses a “nyeh” sound (like the ñ if you’re familiar with spanish) will help you find that space, and when you sing using that space, higher notes are easier to reach and manipulate. Another tip would be when you sing, make sure you open the back of your throat and elongate it (like up and down). A way to simulate that is with yawning, and when you do, you’ll feel the muscles there and how they move. All that being said, if your vocal type is more of a richer contralto, then you could also look into vocal extension exercises to help extend your range. I hope this helps :)

You are an alto, ik bc I have the same problem, the low notes are easier than the high ones but if you want to sing the high ones put more support in your voice and make sure ur mouth is very open but up and down wide, it's harder when your lips practically touch your ears. Try to sing with your mouth in an o shape and stay on a neutral syllable like ooo to expand your range

On a more helpful note, try raising your upper palate (the fleshy part at the back of the roof of your mouth) as it helps to open the throat and round out the voice. Singgeek has 1 or 2 great videos on the subject. And definitely continue working on diaphragmatic support, that helped me after a serious nose surgery!
