As a dental assistant that works closely to the dentist and hygienist please do not use floss picks. We always recommend regular string floss and satin floss for new flossers And yes water picks are elite!! However follow up with that string floss to make sure all bacteria and food is gone.

@@greenrampage Why my hygienist doesn’t recommend floss picks simply because our teeth are truly straight like the tread on the floss picks. So, when you go to use them you can’t really manipulate the thread like regular floss thread. Long story short, you can’t really remove as much bacteria and plaque from multiple tooth surfaces using floss picks, and if you floss incorrectly you could be pushing the bacteria deeper underneath the gums. It’s kinda a whole ordeal lol
