the supreme court is wrong about this. This is a violation of my 4th amendment rights. they should only have a right to run my plates and bring up my personal info if I have committed some kind of violation.

Everyone has a 4th amendment right to be secure in their person, papers and effects. Running your place would be an invasion of privacy without due cause.

Any tips on how to ask a judge if you can bring a camera into court or how to get a hold of a dot officer that ticketed you in Yuma county Court? To plea bargain in Yuma, you have to contact to ticketing officer which I found impossible after a dozen calls. When I got to court, the judge acted like their was a fire, didn't give me time to think, and pressured me into accepting a plea she said she didn't know if it had points or not. I went back to the court room 10 minutes later and it was empty. She finished all her morning cases in 10 minutes. Similarly a judge in Mesa years ago intimidated/overtalked me and didn't allow me to prove an officer lied. With his ticket and Google maps I could prove his ticket was impossible. He pulled me over because I tapped my brakes when I saw him but I wasnt speeding . The judge said I had to have my evidence on paper and proceeded to lecture me about speed limit laws until he adjuerned. I'm not a lawyer and didn't know the law. Still, I wrote an appeal and never got an answer back. Crooked cops and judges... Ps, no idea how to get a hold of you guys

Hi IPman, It sounds like you are dealing with a civil traffic ticket. Usually in civil traffic cases, if we want to discuss amending the ticket with the citing officer, we would have this conversation right before the civil traffic hearing, just before we go into the courtroom. Civil traffic cases have their own set of rules, and they are a lot different than other types of cases. Here is a post that covers some of the reasons it is so difficult to prevail in a civil traffic hearing: trafficlawguys.com/burden-proof-in-civil-traffic-hearings/ If you would like to contact us, you can email us at info@trafficlawguys.com, or give us a call at 480-626-5415.

That makes zero sense. It is, by definition, legal. You do not have an inherent right to drive a vehicle on public roads. You are subject to the laws when you do.

@@jeebuschristos7978 mind if I come to your house and search it? If you’re innocent you have nothing to fear. How about if i use my plate reader to track where you go? Running a plate without probable cause is just a fishing expedition. We allow our cities to be burned and looted, but god forbid we travel without the surveillance state knowing about it

If you're not with a licensed driver, you can't be driving on a permit. (Or with parent/guardian if you're under 18) At least here. You were probably stopped for some other PC violation and that's what came up. You're not telling the full story.

The answer is yes, but a better question is, why do you have vehicle plates as only commercial vehicles have to be registered. Also, if you don't drive for a living why do you have a driver's license. Yes it's a law that all drivers must have a driver's license, but just because you operate an automobile does not make you a driver. Find out the legal definition of driver and motor vehicle

ALL motor vehicles being operated on public roadways must be registered with the state. It's a privelege, not a right to drive on tax payer funded roadways.
