For second grade is this enough to cover reading or an addition to a reading curriculum? My daughter is a good reader by the way

In my opinion, yes. totally works for a stand alone reading curriculum for 2nd grade. Students get lots of opportunities to read in all subject areas so this is great!

@@FullPurposeAndHeart does it include any new phonemes or digraphs that second graders should start to learn?

@@FavuQuad I can't really remember, it's been so long. But I think it was just reading passages and then a variety of questions to follow.

How did place your student? Or rather how did you decide which level to use for your student?

My student is a pretty great reader so I went with grade level this time around.

@@FullPurposeAndHeart That's great! Follow-up question: did you use both the teacher's manual and the student workbook? I am new to the Evan Moore products but didn't know necessarily what was recommended.

@@kghadzic Nope! That's not necessary. Just purchase one or the other. They are basically the same. The teachers manual does have a paragraph per day of "instruction" which is helpful if you've never taught reading before. The student version is the same passages and questions, with no instruction. Those are great if you have several students that you're teaching with. Then you don't have to do the copies. :)
