Such a great resource! I think this is going to be helpful to me. I have a list of chores I want to get done in my head and then I just tell the kids what to do each day. It's really not anything consistent. 😅 I want to get better with this! Thanks for sharing and creating. 🤗

I love the zones charts! Both my kids 4&6 have chores by my 4 years old rarely do them 😂 I know she’s young, it will come eventually 😅

Thanks so much for the chore chart ideas and the printables. We are going to try the zone method and see how it goes. We have really struggled with getting our kids to complete their chores. They get paid a small amount for doing them but that doesn't seem to motivate them. We are going to try to do better at implementing no electronics until chores are done. Hopefully that will be the motivator. I appreciate your encouragement.

Sharon, I hope this will be helpful for you! I will say, I can’t remember if I said this in the video 😂 BUT, I had to be very consistent at first. Some days I wanted to just let them have electronics because I didn’t have time to show them how to correctly do a chore, or whatever, but I realized I had to. Consistency is important. That being said…give yourself grace as you go 😊. Sometimes my kids still forget, and I forget to check that they’ve completed everything, but it’s an opportunity then for conversation. We are not perfect, but try to work together to build these good habits and help each other out around the home. I would love to hear how these work out for you!

Thanks. Yes I’m doing chores list we are just struggling! Do an outdoor zone. The my older kids do clean out vans , once a week, check porch/ sweep, yard ,pet bowls etc, teach to keep under bed an couch clean. Vacuum couch an chairs, cleaning kitchen chairs, grocery an menu planning and ordering. They don’t help with all these butt I’m trying to teach ever details of keeping house especially the boys

It sounds like you are teaching some great habits and skills. I LOVE the idea of an “outdoor” zone, and I really want to implement the grocery and menu planning as well. Maybe that will be on the next go-round for my kiddos! Thank you for watching!

I love this idea of separating it all into zones! I am currently trying to plan a chore chart because it’s a lot that needs to get done with a family of 6. Will you have these zone charts available for printing? I think I like this to go along side the “chores for hire” one I am trying to plan out. Good to know about writing on the paper before laminating.

What if you're oldest is 7 and your 4 year old is a bit small for handling vacuuming. Should I just not rotate their chores until they're a little older?

That’s what I do! I don’t have my youngest on a rotation just yet; I’m just working with him on simple chores he can do for now.

If your erasable pen disappears you can pop it in the freezer and it will all come back. It works with friction because it’s heat sensitive. 🙂
