Oh Sarah, When I was young in college I worked in an office and one of the girls read 3 harlequins a day. One before work, one during, and one after work. Thank you for stirring up old memories. I think audio are reading. I also agree some of these you tubers that read that much can’t possibly retain or enjoy. We all need to “you do you” and don’t judge. Take care.

I don't even stick to one platform with the same book! I'm currently listening to the audiobook of a book I physically own and I'm reading digital copies of two others for sheer convenience. All ways of consuming books are legit. And going back and forth is legit. I have better luck making a memory of where something is in the text with a physical copy, but then it's so easy to underline with a digital and an audiobook can help you get through dry sections, especially in non fiction. But there are some books you want to read in physical form for the shock value. Like for example Why Sex is Better for Women under Socialism. 😂. As an introvert bookworm being seen reading that title makes quite the impression!

I am with you about there being something absolutely wonderful about sitting down and reading a physical book. Like you I will enjoy digital and audio as and when I can. We read for pleasure and it doesn't matter how much or in what manner you read, it is still reading.

Hello! Good on you for your little rant about reading. Your rant made me smile. It doesn’t matter how you read the stories. What matters is that you are reading/ listening and learning about the stories. There is so much to learn in the stories we read or listen to. I listen, read physical books and have a Kobo ereader. Each method is used according to my day and what my schedule is. Sometimes I have the book but also have it on audio so that when I am out for a walk or driving I can continue with the story. It is not for us to judge how others hear or read the stories. As long as they are getting the stories.

Preach, Sarah! As I sit here reading Desmond Cole Ghost Patrol bc my tween loves them and wants me to read them too. The book police aren't a thing and should NEVER be a thing. It's sad when ppl create that and take that on to harass other people. Disgusting. Oh and by the way, I already started a Rachael Stewart book and am REALLY enjoying it! Thank you for everything you are doing in this space!

Sarah I like your vlogs. I have to say that I hate when people talk badly about people reading romance books. I read romance books at work and someone asked me “You really read those books ?” It’s like there’s something wrong with reading romance which I enjoy.!

I just want to read my “silly goose “ books in peace with a smile on my face while kicking my feet😂😂😂 I think people get so caught up in like the “I’m a reader” (sips tea with pinky in air) and then they forget that you’re like… supposed to enjoy reading😂😂 I like what you said (paraphrasing) like what works for your reading journey is good for your reading journey don’t be judging👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 let people enjoy things

I read this title super fast at first and thought it said "Daily Kitty update" lol. (Which would be just as well! I would watch that video so fast lol.) Missy is soooo cute! Remember Me Tomorrow looks interesting, I think I'll add it to my TBR as well as Fairy Tail Ending. The puns get me every time. I'm totally with you on audiobooks, and it makes sense that our brains process them differently from print. I just started reading audiobooks last year and it hit me a few times, "if I were reading this physically I would probably DNF this," but ended up enjoying the books as audiobooks! Definitely interesting!

I adore physical books. I get migraines and even though i have a paperwhite and blue blocking glasses part of me feels like the best way to do it is actual paper pages. I love audiobooks for chores and long car rides but for cozy hometime reading its physical all the way.

I saw your video yesterday with the "Remember me tomorrow "(and i loved lake house)and i took my kids to drop off library books and saw it on display at my library. I started reading right away and was enjoying but i dont have tons of time to sit and read. And just like you mentioned i saw it on kindle unlimited WITH the audiobook. Im so happy and im enjoying it a lot.

Such a great audiobook comment, to me audio is not my fave way but that just me. I just dont get the book details cause the multitasking aspect of it is distracting my ability to pay attention 100% on the book. Good comment on the future losing the ability to read never thought of that

I just looked it up and there is a difference in the way our brain processes print books VS digital Books. Apparently, print books is totally Linear reading and can require a bit more time, but comprehension tends to be better. Digital books is not considered lineal as our eyes often move around the page, look for patterns, and wander. Who Knew??? I love my Kindle and my Kobo, but I really love physical books the best. I dont listen to audiobook right now, because I just can't concentrate/listening. All books count though regardless of genre or format. Happy Reading everyone!!

I think audiobooks are most definitely reading. I have a blind sister in law who loves to read. If she couldn’t listen to audio, she wouldn’t be able to enjoy books. Personally I can’t do audio. Headphones hurt my ears and I get distracted and just want to quit.

Two years ago my eyes just couldn’t handle even large print physical books and I went kicking and screaming into digital. And I love it and wondered why I struggled so long. I can’t focus on audio. But one thing I think the guy was right about is the difference processing books vs audio, yes I tried them, is like book to film. With physical books and ebooks you imagine what the characters look like a sound. But audio makes those characters voices different than when you imagine them and with movies now the image has gone away completely. I too was unaware of audio going on a faster speed and couldn’t figure out how someone could read that many books but then when I learned that process then I understood. Not saying it’s not reading, just saying the speed made sense. But again. People continue to feel bad because they haven’t read a certain amount of books BUT as we have seen on Sprint comments the size of books some of your followers read. I just read what I read and really don’t keep count. But some do like it as a challenge. But people should never compare😊❤ Good video😊
